without bill wyman, they can't do it anymore. that was the engine, he was critical to the sound.

i remember someone posting the complete version a long time ago - if anyone has it, can you repost the full complete version? The popular bootleg cuts it off after the first verse, but the complete version exists somewhere. thank you

i am not saying that Darryl is not a good bass player. In fact, he and chuck are accomplished musicians.. just not a fit for the Stones, that's all, when you compare them with Wyman and nicky hopkins/ian stewart/Mac. The sound is different. Bill's bass allowed the stones to play like a true garage band - a spontaneous rock band. Darryl is a great player, but it's different. Lo

This is the first time I have ever written a review on this site. While I am a diehard Stones fan, I am still not a fan of the 20 year era of Chuck Leveall/Daryl Jones/backup singers/too rehearsed versions of their songs. They sound completely different without Bill Wyman. The Stones are best when they are spontaneous and unrehearsed – like a garage band. So, I am just not a fan of the arran

they have to play a greatest hits show. most people who go are not like us - they have never seen the stones or maybe seen them once or twice. they want to hear the hits. they come away happy. the stones have too many fans/too broad an audience and at this stage in their careers, without new material, they have to play the hits.

did anyone see the 1980's movie, "some kind of wonderful".. lead character that lea thompson plays is amanda jones, after this song... the other main charachters are "keith" and the drummer chick "watts"... and there's a cover of miss amanda jones in the movie too...

i agree with all points made, but it's just ashame to hear stones bashing from people when they played 2 songs b/c they didn't want to overdo it.... this is from the LA Times and sums up my point: "But still, this felt less like the Rolling Stones playing a benefit concert than it did the Rolling Stones trying sell viewers on Saturday night's pay-per-view concert."

totally agree with you, they were a late addition and yes, i thought they were good. but people don't look at it like they were a late addition and they have 2 full shows to play in the next 3 days. and when you have all of the other artists do many more songs and play longer, people naturally compare.. and in that sense, the stones come off weaker to the general public.

it's ashame reading a ton of facebook posts that say the stones sucked, the who were better, stones only played 2 songs b/c you have to pay to hear more....everyone else had a full half hour set and the stones did only 2 songs, so of course, it's not a fair comparison, but non stones fans really don't get it... it seems that it would have been better for the stones to either not do

the kennedy center honors in the USA are honoring led zeppelin this year. mccartney, roger daltry & pete townshend, and bruce springsteen and bob dylan have been honored in the past. why not the stones? is it b/c of their "bad boy images" and the drugs and their reputation? that it would not seem right to have the bad boys of rock sit in washington DC with the president (who is a

mick's vocals are way too loud and upfront in mix but that's the new 21st century stones with don was at the helm

Ever since Voodoo Lounge, the studio recordings do not sound the same and does some or much of the blame go to Don Was and his production style and influence? As evidenced on Doom & Gloom, Mick is way too upfront and too loud (same can be said for plundered my soul and the list goes on). Stones sound more like a loud hard rock band as opposed to a soulful/bluesy rhythym & blues rock ban

i blame mick for selling out, for hiring don was and making chuck the band leader.. they should have stopped when bill left the band.
