Quoteflairville Quoteironbelly QuoteGreen Lady How come therollingstonesshop.co.uk wants £18 for the 2CD+DVD when Amazon UK is demanding £45? Where did you get £45? Here is the link to DVD/2CD It is £23.98 It’s a lot cheaper at the official store as they don’t deliver until 2023. My goodness, it's 2023 already. Doesn't time fly.

QuoteIsakSun Quotehockenheim95 Quote24FPS Quotehockenheim95 QuoteStoneage Okey, a stupid question: Was it really necessary with two separate synth/keyboard musicians on stage (Clifford, Leavell)? Wasn't one enough? The do this again since 2016! Otherwise we wouldn't be able to enjoy the fake harp on Miss You or the fake choir on YCAGWYW :-) Or the fake recorder on Ruby Tuesday. At

QuoteBig Al QuoteStoneage Was it politically corrected as talked about? I mean the lyrics changed or cut out or songs removed? Rule, Britannia for instance? No, the the controversial lines remained. The BBC backed-down from their stance after so many complaints from the public. It was an absolute storm in a teacup. There are people every year who think Rule Britannia and Land of Hope and

Interesting series on US history on BBC Radio 4: this 15 minute episode is about the Blues - and the Stones. Starts with the Muddy Waters and the ceiling story, about which the presenter is wisely sceptical, but it isn't anti-Stones. You may need to set up a BBC login to listen, but you don't need a TV licence.

Quotenick1970 QuoteBeast Stella Street always had moments of brilliance in it and the Mick and Keith sketches were invariably hilarious. I think there were three series altogether and also a full-length feature film. Hello everyone I just had a thought... I wondered if the new Stones shop would be like the one Stella street. The 2 of them in the shop was one of my favourite bits in that programm

QuoteGasLightStreet QuoteMileHigh Do you think they made any money off of Living in a Ghost Town? I assume CD singles are a thing of the past. The only way to truly know is if the UPC gets scanned and the RIAA sees it. It wouldn't be surprising to guess that it might sell between 5000 and 10000 copies by the end of the year. That's great for a small band. It's unlikely th

Of course it isn't Queen without Freddie, and nobody is pretending that it is, but if the remaining members of the band want to tour and play that music, they can't do it without a singer. I've seen the Adam Lambert version live, and it works as well as it could in the circumstances: I.e. it's a very enjoyable show: Adam does not try to do a Freddie impersonation but sings

QuoteCaptainCorella Great example of how a headline can mislead. On the front page of the online copy of The Guardian where this story is featured it says.... "Rolling Stones, Lennox and McCartney among stars seeking music aid" When I first read that I was shocked that even Paul McCartney had run out of money and was seeking aid from the UK Taxpayer. Crikey indeed! Actually,

Quotejahisnotdead This isn't new news. It's well known that Trump's been using their music and the music of others that don't agree with him politically at his rallies for years, and there's nothing that the Stones or anyone else can do about it except make their displeasure publicly known. If there truly was some legal remedy, it would have been taken by now. All the

Part of being a British child of the 60s was the desire to escape from the cloying sentimentality of so much wartime music, which twenty years after the war was still very much in evidence, and inevitably wheeled out again for every commemoration (as it still is). As you grow older, you realise how much that sweet music was needed in dreadful times, and come to recognise that real talent can ex
