QuoteBig Al QuoteDrPete Just rewatched on YouTube. It's fantastic and lots of consideration towards Brian Yes, although I remember being taken aback by Keith's, then, dismissive comments: 'shit happens'; 'hey, you cock, you're fired', etc. He's evidently mellowed since, as he's ben far more complimentary in more recent years. Mellowing with age, I g

Quote24FPS QuoteErik_Snow Quote5strings Knebworth 76 is Still a good One to be nominate. Disaster of a show, but a very rocking disaster. So yes, that would be a good one, and maybe the only 1976 show they have on film, together with the Paris shows. A DVD of Knebworth, along with CDs of El Mocambo; that would be a brilliant choice. Isn't there a Wembley show from '76? Earl’s Cour

One of my absolute favourite Stones tracks. Love how Taylor's main guitar riff progresses upwards through a c-scale to suggest the passage of time. Love how the song starts and fades out on Charlie's metronomic drumming to suggest the same. It sounds to me like a track they clearly put a lot of thought into. The words aren't bad either....

Quotescottkeef Not to rain on anything but it kinda looks from the descriptions that there isnt any new video footage in YA YAs and Hyde Park, just pic stills to fill in gaps. Not that they wont be very enjoyable to watch, I just wouldn't expect "concert video".... Yes, that's what it says in the description......

Quoteozziestone Agreed andrewm. Modulation can work well. But also can be a lazy way of pepping up an otherwise ordinary song. Come On is a good example of the later. My band struggles with key changes I must say-we tend to ignore them (eg Lodi) I recall Chuck Berry trying to change key in the middle of Roll of Beethoven on Hail Hail with Keith firmly stopping him I'm not sure if Ke

Quotetatters Quotelazzzybones Here's one to start: Elton John joining in on one of the worst vomit-inducing songs of all time "That's What Friends Are For". Why,Elton,Why? That's was the straw that broke the camel's back with Elton for me. That was the last straw? You mean you were okay with his disco version of Johnny B. Goode? Could almost be Robbie William

Like everybody else on this board, I'm a huge Stones fan. I love pretty much everything they did up until Tattoo You but GHS is the one album I've never 'got'.Every now and again I give it another listen and for some reason it never sticks with me. I don't mean just mean it's poor compared to the previous 'big four' albums that we all know and love- aside f

Quotecn854 Great book!!!!! I'm a BIG Taylor fan and I thought MT's hair was too long for these two hotel shots to be taken on the 1972 tour, 1979 is probably right. Can't say that I think Rose Taylor was a "stunner", nice legs but what happened to the rest.....LOL From looking at these pics though, Taylor was certainly a big part of the band and was NOT an outsider lik

QuoteGazza QuoteFather Ted The quality of that DVD is appalling. Barely watchable imo. By no stretch of the imagination would I say it's "decent quality". Get it off a torrent for free and save yourself some money. it also says above that its a pro shot. Is it? No, that should say 'definitely not pro-shot'
