Angry would be a great opener.

At first I also thought this song is strange. But it grew on me. It is actually very good, just not that catchy and predictable. QuoteMadMax The worst song they've released the last 30 years. The only thing that redeems it is the sax solo. The introducing rhythm guitar is Jagger through and through, Keith would never play like that, Spin Doctors Pt II. Awful and not worthy The Rolling S

I like Hackney Diamond melodies. Yes maybe on some earlier album there were more rhythmic variations. But e.g. Live by the Sword, Get Close and Depending on you also have great and unique, Stones-based rhythm.

Thank you very much for all the work. I hope that you stay involved with iorr site as long as possible, as it is great resource for Stones fans. I also hope you'll be able to reflect and inform about the next year shows the same way you did before. I understand the need for modernizing the forum. The old one should stay available as very rich archive, please. Keeping fingers crossed.

The lyrics to WWW aren't in any way awful, they work well for the music and they carry a nice message.

Yes, but that was very very limited edition, therefore for example Hackney Diamonds I did not manage to buy and they even weren't available in my country (Czechia).

CD offers 16/44.1 sound, which requires careful mastering, dithering and filtering to sound right. Yes they are better in measurements than analog. Vinyl is very good analog, but it is "read-only" and deteriorates faster with playing than cassettes. Well adjusted deck with Dolby B/C/HXPRO gives a very nice sound on both playback and recording. It would be nice to have new albums

I use mostly digital today, but analog sound has got special character. I would welcome if the new albums are also released on cassettes, not only vinyl. Vinyl has less durability when playing and you cannot use vinyl to do your own analog recordings. Some of the older tapes will shed more oxide when playing, those you can either throw away (if nothing valuable is there), or digitize them and

I know that RTM produces new tapes, they are decent, I bought some. But their player is only good for mobile application, not for serious (home) listening.

Cassettes are still primary way when you want to do analog recording at home. They are more durable than vinyl for playback. It is a pity that the new albums are not released on cassettes or only in very limited editions (targeted at collectors' market). It would be nice if also new decks are produced again.

Mess it up is a very good dancing song, as I wrote only a bit in the middle is strange but overall I don't get why here gets often "KO"

A very good dancing track. Mick surely likes it ;-) Catchy singing ... Mess it up, mess it up ... Really wanna tell the truuuuth ... The only a bit strange part is around 2:30-2:44, that is a bit overcombined. Still, it belongs to Hackney Diamonds, glad to have it.

QuoteRobertJohnson This is not my thing at all. The worst track from the whole album. Apart from the cheesy lyrics, another negative point is that essentially 3 chords are tortured over 7 minutes. I find this unimaginative and boring. The song comes across as if it was tailored to the needs of the Bible Belt. Okay, MJ sings about the gods and says goodbye to monotheism (small mistake, the marketi

Also now I've heard Shattered and the drumming is also very nice sounding there.

Steve Jordan's drums (finally) do not sound aggressive on SSOH live recording. I like the softer (that doesn't mean weaker!) sounds of the drums. Closer to Charlie's.

Those videos are awesome. Very happy to see that. The band gave us a great album and can do songs from it very well live. Lady Gaga sounds very good on Sweet Sound of Heaven with Mick. No need to search for minor issues. Enjoy while it lasts!

Quotenoughties It soon grabbed me as one of the more accessible songs on the album together with "Live By The Sword", and I felt kind of grateful. Now I`m not so sure. One poster here called "Mess It Up" too busy. I don`t agree when it comes to that song, but in hindsight, many of the songs on the album have a lot of "musical ornamentation". Maybe it can be a lit

QuoteIrix Quotejumpingjackflash5 A bit better than CD version that has 16/44.1 only. That's mostly the case with HiRes vs CD. The quality of downsampling & dithering depends on the algorithm of the software used. I understand. I mean 24/96 to 16.44.1 downsampling. It needn't be always recognized in ABX test, but both formats sound a bit different on most DACs.

I have bought 24/96 version from Highresaudio. A bit better than CD version that has 16/44.1 only. This does not say that CD sound is bad, but downsampling and dithering is not completely transparent.

I hope they will perform in person only as long as possible :-) I can understand, that at some point in the future some artificial "treatment," of their songs/show may be possible and even watchable, but it will never ever get any close to seeing and hearing them live and on records. But I think they know that.
