I really don't think they'll be having many, if any guests on the new one. I could be wrong, of course.

I think Keith has said, as an introvert, he withdrew into drugs to avoid the more intrusive effects of fame. Mick rather enjoys the attention, "loves the fans," as Nikkei said above, until it is all too much, which is probably most of the time, these days. Thanks, dcba, on the situation near one of his homes.

Quotedcba QuoteSend It To me Interest tale about people sucking, ha. I think it's a mix of entitlement and bad education. I can tell you from 1st-hand accounts that Mick could walk the streets of Amboise (the "big" city next to his Touraine "chateau") stop and sit for a coffee and go to the local "Home Depot" without being annoyed ever. "Hey dude

Do we know for sure which of the two Newark shows this is, the first night or the second, already broadcast once?

Nice! I lived there in Columbus for many years, and my brother went to Indiana U.

I like the photos. Mick is showing up in real life. He likes to get out once in a while.

Not announcing the tour more than a couple of months ahead of time?

Hmm, I'm reconsidering...maybe it is fake chewing, a schtick in his performance. Like, see how cool I am (we know, we know), I can chew gum and sing and dance at the same time. "Start me up," (chomp chomp...)

II don't think it'll be promoted as the final tour. I'd be surprised if so, considering what Mick's said in the past.

Yeah, I've noticed it. Yeah, I think he does it to create some moisture, and also just to give him something different to concentrate on for a little while.

Quotebv I just added this to the first post of this thread: IORR Editor update 21-Oct-2022: The new Rolling Stones studio album is now in the final works, currently being mixed in Los Angeles, following recent works in New York. The release is expected to be in sync with a new tour starting during the spring of 2023. Thanks so much, Bjornulf! Rumors be damned.

Quotelem motlow I sometimes think you could take any 6 month period of Mick Jagger’s life and make a movie out of it, yet the gravitas of his friends from back then like Andy or Lou Reed, Bowie etc doesn’t really exist today. Imagine how bored he is with most of the people he meets in this generic age we live in. And those women back then, holy sh… He still does seem to find some interesting

That is sad. I don't think Mick would let that happen for anyone in the band, unless it came about through an unexpected emergency.

QuoteBeastyBurdeny Quoteangee BeastyB, what about that statement leads you to believe it is wishful thinking rather than inside info? I said it in my previous post, but the fact that they claim the stones have a "final" show planned for the next leg of the tour. Doesn't really make sense with the prospect of new Stones music on the "horizon". Okay, thanks. I guess I

QuoteVoodooLounge13 Yeah I was kinda thinking the same thing, but not in a chivalrous way. I would never stand next to my ex in a picture with my kid - the kid would be between us. Makes me wonder if maybe he doesn't still hit her up from time to time. >< Okay, I see that photo now in the D Mail. In the one sitting at the dinner table, he does have both his daughter and his g/f i

Just for the record, from the article, "Lesley-Ann Jones says in her new book The Stone Age..." This looks to be among the most made-up writing about the band, imo, from what A. Boshoff's article claims is in Jones' book.

Good points, Green Lady. Oh, yeah, as a few have pointed out, the harmonica, how refreshing, as you say, only heard on the occasional song, outside of blues...

Did anyone see the new doc on David Bowie, Moonage Daydreams? At one of his shows, he started singing "Love Me Do," with the whole audience joining after a few bars. From this topic, I have more understanding, I think, about why he chose that song.

Very good! Thanks so much. This is about the importance of music in contributing to community and social change. I didn't know about the guitar ban and people carted off by police. Or how most people with guitars didn't have cases for them.
