StonesTod-This act was passed by Congress approximately 3 years ago. Bush had nothing to do with it. I'm glad it lasts until November now so the kids have an extra hour of daylight for Halloween. I always thought it was the dumbest thing to move time back just before Halloween.

Montreal-I'm glad I'm not alone...Pete has been on an absolute mission this tour. He's making Keith & Ronnie look like old men.

buffalo-fairly well as far as opening acts go. They are pretty popular in Chicago. Pete even made mention of them during the Who's set thanking them for opening a few shows on this tour.

Bury it (& Miss You and Tumbling Dice along with them for that matter) at least as far as playing it/them live goes.

Duane in Houston-The setlist doesn't change at all with the exception of sometimes skipping Naked Eye as the 1st encore. The Tragically Hip opened for them in Chicago but I don't think they are for this whole leg of the tour, just a few shows.

Happy Jack-I was in section 117 which is about 1/2 to 2/3 of the way back on the side(Pete's side). In our section about 90% of the people stood for the entire show. Maybe 25% sat during the Endless Wire mini-opera as Pete called it. I don't know if you could see the main floor that well or not but I noticed the entire main floor stood for the whole show. I also did look up in the ra

Happy Jack-I'm glad I am not alone. I was at the Chicago show Tuesday night & I completely agree with you. For anyone that hasn't seen the Who lately, do so! This was my 5th or 6th time seeing them over the past nearly 30 years & it was by far the best. One thing I disagree with you a little is on Roger's voice. It was ok, but it's nowhere near what it used to be.

This is easy for me-Lenny Kravitz opening for the Stones in 1994 at Soldier Field. The music itself wasn't that bad, but he whined & cried after every song about the lack of applause. At one point, he actually threatened to leave if the crowd didn't cheer more. I don't think he ever got it that he was the OPENING ACT.

nice pic chippy! As to the debate here: 1). most Americans don't even know or care that there is a professional soccer league here in the states. Beckham will do absolutely nothing to change that. 2) The US will eventually make it to a World Cup final but not for at least another generation. It will take a team of basically 2nd or 3rd generation American immigrants to do it.

1977 International Amphitheater in Chicago-The Doobie Brothers with an opening act by the name of Head East. The funny thing is I heard a song on the radio today as I drove home from work by Head East that I hadn't heard in years. They are little known but actually pretty good.

like them or not, the truth is Mick can't handle 2 hours of singing every word of every song any more. Obviously they are there to sing back up, but they are also there to help Mick take a break now & then. I saw them up very close a few years ago when it was obvious Mick was sick & I noticed numerous times him motioning for a little help on vocals.

I don't think it's a case of doing it for the money these days, I think it's if we're going to do it we might as well make as much money as possible. I don't believe any of them particularly Charlie can be convinced to do it simply for the money. It's a case of wanting to tour/perform or not. Seriously, at their ages what the hell good is a few extra millions going

DGA35-yes, many of them. My worst ever was a January I think of 1991 playoff game against the Cowboys. It was so cold the beer was practically freezing. It took forever to get in & out of the johns because everybody was staying in there just to warm up.

gengiant90 & inopeng-I gotta agree with both of you...it was DAMN cold that night at Soldier Field but also very memorable. I too was very concerned about Keith that night but am glad to see it seemed to be the weather and nothing else that was holding him back. I can't imagine any worse weather than that for an outdoor show.

elmo lewis-that (Blackfoot) was/is a truly underrated band. I still play the Strikes album. I saw them twice many years ago & they blew me away. I just saw LS a few months ago with Ricky Medlocke...they're not the same, but they still put on a pretty good show. They still seemed to enjoy playing after all these years which is a lot of what I judge bands by these days. There's n

I agree with Doctor Dear! It wasn't so much that I didn't like ATGB, I was just indifferent to it. But seeing/hearing it live was incredible. To me it was one of the highlights of this tour.

bv-Out of respect for you & this sight, I have deleted my posts. I was not aware of any bans on political discussions & did not join in on this one until it was well into the 4th page. As for Beelyboy, I find it quite humorous that the attacker now seeks to be the victim. From what I've been told by others, that's his style to attack & cry. You can go back and check the

FrankM-he may be, I'll have to take your word for it, but it doesn't seem like he's capable of having a civilized discussion on something he doesn't agree with.
