Oh God, if there's anyone I hate more in rock journalism it's Dave Marsh.

Yeah, I would've been surprised if it was Mick, but I thought it might've been a solo song (I don't have any of his albums) or maybe a Stones outtake or something. It does have the mush-mouth vocals that Mick used on a lot of their early stuff, but that's about all it's got going for it. I just wonder how the hell I got this in the first place...!

I was listening to my music on random today when the following song came on. It was labeled as 'She Saw Me Coming', but it's very obviously not... I'm not even sure if it's a Rolling Stones song, but it sounds a bit like Jagger. I've done some lyric searches on Google, but I can barely make out the words as it is, and whatever I was able to hear came up with no resul

Maybe they'll play 'Stupid Girl', 'Some Girls', 'Under My Thumb', and 'Little T&A' instead

I think they "reconciled" somewhat in the early eighties, probably once Mick started to drift away from Keith. I don't think they were as close as Ronnie and Keith were, especially considering Bill only plays bass on three tracks from Dirty Work, which is largely considered to be Keith's album, but I guess Keith realized that Bill was a pretty integral part of the band and sta

I'm sure this topic has been done to death, but I was reading an interesting website last night ( ) which gave Bill a lot more credit on playing the bass than he probably did. Don't get me wrong, I wish he played more on the albums, but if you peruse the site, it gives him additional bass credits for stuff that Keith definitely played on. Anyway, it got me thinking - when exactly di

Headquarters is a great album indeed - 'You Told Me' (I think that's the one with the banjo intro, right?), 'You Just May Be The One', 'No Time', 'Randy Scouse Git', 'The Girl I Knew Somewhere'... great songs. 'Daily Nightly' is my favorite, with the great use of Moog, as well as 'Porpoise Song' and the live version of

I guess if any ageing musician's hair is too long, he's automatically wearing a wig. I don't think Bill would be that vain. Glad to see he's still looking good, but yeah he's starting to look his age. As long as he enjoys what he's doing, I'm happy for him.

Amazing how narrow-minded people are on this board. God forbid that there are any other bands out there besides the coveted Rolling Stones. Sure, Queen lost their direction in the mid-80s, but so did The Stones. Freddie was overblown, but so was Mick. They were both just as camp; I'm sure they would have gotten along. As most have said, they're really apples and oranges. Consideri

No he didn't, it was only rumored that Page played on 'Can't Explain' but was recently discovered that he didn't, only some things on 'Bald-Headed Woman'. from : I Can't Explain (stereo version) 2'04 (Pete Townshend) Fabulous Music, Ltd. Produced by Shel Talmy at Pye Studios, London in the second week of November 1964. Lead guitar: Pete Towns

This is an amazing recording, so raw and powerful, even though Brian was on his last legs at this time. I would love any other recordings of this show, though I can't seem to find it on dimeadozen, and they're mostly FLAC anyway.

I think he played the bicycle bell (or maybe it was spokes) on either 'Almost Hear You Sigh' or 'Continental Drift'.

Great tracks. Any idea what the personnel is? Is that mentioned in the booklet? Sounds like true actual Stones performances this time.

In February 1986, shortly after The Rolling Stones performed their one-off tribute gig for dearly-departed pianist Ian Stewart, it was announced that the band would be embarking on a world tour in support of their upcoming studio album, DIRTY WORK, and that the first dates would be in Philadelphia. As soon as tickets went on sale, I immediately snatched up tickets: I had missed them the last few
