If the Black Crowes can pull off New Year's Eve at MSG/NY (and play past 2AM), the Stones could as well. However, it just doesn't seem like their cup of tea. MSG for another 3 night run seems more likely. This could be the mini-tour we've been speaking about ~ 3 nights NY, 3 nights Boston, etc. Now the bandmembers health is of upmost importance to this corporation. Bless y

Sticky Fingers. However, to clarify, it was not purchased on the 1st day of release; which I did accomplish thereafter. However, when Hot Rocks hit the charts, I was psyched and bought it first day. It went #4 that week! Let the spirit Roll! Open the Vaults, Oliver!

Why not go out and invest in Mick Taylor's first solo CD, and save yourself from what will be dust gathering bombs? Or definitely go out and get all of Keith's solo stuff, including Live at Hollywood Bowl. Wait a while before venturing into the Wingless Angels stuff

I actually cried after this performance. My wife thought I was going insane. But then again, she's lived w/ me 15 years, and has been with me for 35+ shows. I love these guys from the bottom of my heart. And to see them all perform, was just a moment I'll cherish forever. Mr. Wood, God Bless You, and keep you. I've broken out all your solo CD's today, plus the early

The first notes of the tune at MSG made me cringe. It was as if I had a flashback to the same MSG show for the No Security tour ~ and even then, it was not enjoyable. Top that with the lollypop version of GOMC at the center stage; it's no wonder my whole section sat down or took a bathroom break. We all just want roots rock & blues from the heart, not from Chuck's songlist.

After reading, again, the poor review of Ronnie's playing, you have to assume that even Mick might say enough already. Save the reputation, go out on a good note, and most importantly, allow Mr. Wood to fully recouperate from his diseases and live a long, healthy remaining life on Earth.

Just keep hearing this one on the radio, by various artists. And I just love Keith giving us his rendition of this gem. Who inspired Keith to do it on the last tour? Charlie & his jazz roots? It actually fits him perfectly, for his elder setlist style. Just so cool.

Anyone interested; I've got two available for Friday night. I can only make the Wednesday show There's great seats; Section 101, Row A; and Section 126 (Keith's side) Row F. Let me know if anyone's into these; we'll figure out a plan of action. Get Yer Ya Ya's Out!

Why don't you go to your local library and pick up a book on NYC? Fodor's guide is quite good. It may help you.

Egomaniacs. Ah, screw em all. Hell, they were probably involved with that conspiracy to murder Brian, to get him out of the band. Devil worshipers, all of 'em. It's all about money. Money that pays for their world tour, staying at Four Seasons Hotels, enjoying top shelf wine (well, some of them) fabulous meals, and just getting their ass kissed everywhere. Then they go out and pla

I stood in line at Tower Records in NYC to meet Keith once. So I had 6+ hours to think about what I was going to say. After the long wait, the anxiety of seeing one of my heros, I simply approached him and said, "Keith, I want to thank you so much for the twenty plus years of great rock and roll you have given me", "how much I loved his music", and "what an influence

Thanks for the info. I've checked the web site, and of course, have a question. Which one do you recommend for a concert? My issue is I've been to 70+ Stones shows, too many Black Crowes shows, and 200 other shows and have tinnitus. I don't want (nor my wife) my ailment get worse; I've been to many shows following the issue but with crappy plugs that I just take out Th

OK. I'm no Keith Richards, but this BS is about the "A" holes who have no friggin idea about life. If you cannot handle booze at this point, I'm not sure what they're doing experimenting it at a costly rock show. I don't see anything wrong with doing a six pack or more before the show, maybe with a shot or two (yeah, the Keith thing maybe) and going to a Go-Go. U

Yes, but 1st week sale was at an unbelievable price of $9.99! I figured that was geared towards getting a good first weeks number in. Anyway, I'll still go out and buy 3 or 4 more; and mail them to friends. You see, its a good feeling to have loved a band, been a fanatic of the STONES since 1970, and be able to boast about MY BAND'S NEW ALUBM WHICH I LOVE!!! Brings back memories of

Tomcat, is there a plug you recommend for concert goers? I'd rather not use the ones my wife gives me from the airlines; completely blocking out the sound quality...Thanks.

My guess is that there will be more corporate stiffs at the Cream shows at MSG this week, than the Stones in January. They say Cream is getting up to $5K per ticket!!! Boy do they have a sad life. If it's any consolation, I'll be there both nights, wearing my GAP jeans and probably a flannel shirt w/ sneakers and be the one NEVER sitting down. Where are you seated? Both nights?

This is the one song I can have in my head all day, and not get tired of it! It's great all over, but also so dramatic because it features Keith and one of his most honest/sincere guitar efforts on the CD. It should be on so many friggin different radio stations here (US) but I can say, I've never heard it, and anticipate never hearing it on the radio! I'll probably pop it on

They certainly don't need to be considering loops for this song, like the intros to Sympathy...It would only take one technical screwup for Charlie to get pissed and drop that!

Oh Man, Stop Breakin Down! Tumblin Dice! No wonder it's my favourite album I remember trying to scrape up the $$$ to buy this double album. I think it was like $6.50 or so. What an album, with all the photos & postcards. What a Summer! Then getting The Stones on the cover of LIFE magazine! That told my parents to shut up!

Jagger's voice was best when he was pure unadulterated Mick ~ before all the bullshit. We're talking virgin Mick; '63 thru 67. When he turned his eye toward the press, the cameras, the groupies, whatever distraction surrounded him, he lost moementum and concentration. Down The Road Apiece! Listen to THE ROLLING STONES NOW! and you'll see. That's the issue with the n

Bjornulf: Yeah, the threads may be boring. The commentary by those who need to be stroked may be silly. My comments border on wishful thinking than constructive criticism. I have seen three shows so far, and are headed to 3-4 more, including the two at MSG. In between shows, I'll continue to dream about songs, dream about Billy Preston showing up, or Eric. I do not have a fat ass

One of the great things about seeing the Crowes is that you go there having no idea what the band is going to play. Could be a bluesy-jam thing going on, could be a night of hits plus covers (yeah, usually one Stones tune & a Bob Marley tune). Any way, the band really cranks out hard (& very loud) rock & roll. The uncertainty of the songlist is what keeps you tuned in to the show, t
