Quotestone66 I remember it as an okay album at the time; Hard Woman is an even better song than any of the singles. "Hard Woman" *was* a single, and it wasn't the album version.

It's just "Criss Cross" -- some bootleger added the "mind". See prerelease article in "Rolling Stone " when it (and "Through the Lonely Nights") was still in the lineup. (Same article made no mention of "Coming Down Again" so that replaced one of those).

Mick Taylor said they dropped "Silver Train" on the '73 tour because "live" it sounded too similar to ADTL. I don't know why they didn't keep ST and drop ADTL, at least for that tour.

Quotecyclist Bollocks. Her albums the past two decades have been excellent. Her voice is tremendous, perfect for her Brecht/Weill covers on 20th Century Blues. Before the Poison; Easy Come, Easy Go; Give My Love to London all have tremendous moments. Tough to find a better model for how to handle a late career. Exactly, Thank you!

QuoteGasLightStreet Quotejbwelda Well I am in Norte America and believe me I wouldn't pay anywhere near that and I don't even have a phone capable of sending or receiving text messages (much less taking pictures or recording audio or video). So I guess that leaves me out. I like audience participation but jb In New Orleans, Jazz Fest tickets continue to go up ... It's sti

QuoteChris Fountain It's sad that I'm the only one in this forum whom likes Emotional rescue and even the album. I played Emotional Rescue(song) five times in a row at the pool last week. It's ok I will go it alone. You're not alone, I aore it and was thrilled to see it finally performed in concert.

QuoteRocky Dijon QuoteGasLightStreet Everything I've ever read says it's from the 1979 Compass Point ER sessions... with no McLagan. Agreed, except for the alleged presence of Mel Collins who only worked with them in 1978. Is it actually Bobby? Some sources cite David Sanborn, but this is likely guess work because it was the B-side of "She Was Hot." EMOTIONAL RESCUE and TATO

"Let's Work" as a lead single was an unfortunate decision. This would have been a much stronger opening salvo for PRIMITIVE COOL:

Quotefrankotero Anyone seen the press conference from the Japanese version? Wondering if I should try to get a copy of this. I've got it. It's <12". I was happy to see Mick drive band over the bridge in the red Cadillac again. The Bremen bonus ("Little Queenie") surfaced on YouTube, maybe this one will as well?

QuoteGasLightStreet What gets me is that people tend to automatically assume that it's better because it's on vinyl. I automatically assume it's better because of the artwork. You can't get the poster in any CD edition of LIB.

Well said StonedRambler. Sounds like it's MileHigh that's thrown in the towel -- the Stones were still killing it last summer.

QuotePaul Kersey Like I said, modern era stones not my thing. Pointless release to me... What's truly pointless is posting on a thread you have no interest in about something you've not heard or seen.

Quotedjgab PS (Who knew Reed was an Eagles fan?) A real head scratcher but there is a connection: Jackson Browne was once a member of the Eagles. Browne and Lou may have crossed paths when they were writing songs for Nico.

Quotetomcasagranda I think maybe they heard it vis Bob Dylan's first album. Dylan also did House of the Rising Sun on that album, and In My Time of Dyin'. Those lyrics do not appear in Dylan's version.

I'm not sure I've ever seen it acknowledged in print but in "It Hurts Me Too" on JAMMING WITH EDWARD, Jagger sings a verse from Dylan's "Pledging My Time".
