Listen to the people who will tell you it's all a matter of taste (whatever it is that they're talking about - maybe they're talking about their fundamental lack of taste) or that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Or maybe even in the ears of the listener. Just don't believe them. You may as well listen to Chuck Berry when he did "it" when he was 80. Then face t

The only good thing about it is Mick Jagger who, well I almost forgot for what he was known for once. But sure it wasn't for substandard lyrics, substandard music or substandard co-musicians, and I'm not talking about "success".

The Teskey Brothers ...because Keith mentioned them in one/some of his recent inteviews... They sound a lot like Otis Redding, that's for sure.

I read some of these re-reviews. But the writer should make a better distinction between the original album review and his own writing.

No, but while watching the interview the large phot in the background was very prominent. Especially since Nuhr lives in such an ugly and empty flat and is no beauty himself.

I maybe listened it two or three times when it came out, but never since. I found it quite boring and uninspired. If it's not the worst Stones album ever, for me it is sure in the Down 5. Better don't tell anyone about it.

There are far too many albums anyway. So it's a good thing that average albums are "underrated". Even if they sometimes are interesting, they are simply not good enough. Better concentrate on the real good albums, encourage people to record such albums and to listen to such albums.

QuoteJordyLicks96Silver Train as a b-side only track to Angie. I think Criss Cross is a perfect opener to the second half of the album. I absolutely I agree.

It's a plus for every song if Bono isn't in it.

Quoteloog droog I have to question whether he wrote the part where he cites each band member by name, or when he mentions a previous show at the Civic. (Maybe that was put in by an editor, or that information was provided by a friend?) In his autobiographical short stories he's always listening to classical music, so I wouldn't think that he would have the Stones on his radar. (Same

I still feel it's one one of the biggest shames in Rolling Stones album history they used that front view of a poorly mutilated male joke "lion" on "Bridges to Babylon". I wonder if this was to avoid the "parental advisory" sticker or what.

One thing are the absolutely ridiculous ticket prices. Another thing is they're selling their songs to promote stuff like Microsoft Windows 95 (Start me up), Mercedes Benz (Sympathy for the Devil) or Call of Duty (Gimme shelter). Anyway a song like "Gimme shelter" shouldn't be sold for a war game... Well, they can sell their stuff to anybody they want. But it's not

I prefer the live version. And Living Colour have put a great cover version of the song on their 2009 album "The Chair in the Doorway".

Sure the Rolling Stones took their name from the song of another man. They started out as a cover band and they are ending as a cover band. In the beginning the covered the songs of some American guys. Nowadays they're covering mainly the songs of two Englishmen who once wrote some pretty good songs. Yes. They're covering themselves, they're doing that now for a very long time. The

For the upcoming Stones concerts I suggest two sections. One section in the back (or outside of the stadium) for the fans of Clinton and Trump that can't stop their US American bullshit even after everything is said and done, the other section for the Stonesfans.

I think that's why I prefer to listen to the music. I think it's no coincidence the less music there was the more videos...books...photos...biographies...marriages...scandals...money...drugs...affairs there appeared. For my taste, nowadays the Stones may almost go to well anywhere if it were not for their music. As Keith once said (and repeated it too often): it's good to be anywhe

Where is the music in this thing, the blues, rhythm'n'blues, rock'n'roll? I can't see any music in exhibitionism, maybe I'm too old now so my ears won't learn to see such wonders. I still hope the Stones will survice through their music, not just as an artefact in the museum. Oh well, it's not easy to sell a thing that most people can't feel nowadays.
