QuoteHanns Rainsch The Rolling Stones are deeply sorry and disappointed to announce the postponement of the rest of their 14 ON FIRE tour of Australia and New Zealand following the death of L’Wren Scott. Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood wish to thank all of their fans for their support at this difficult time and hope that they will fully understand the reason for this

QuoteGrichka These are the Rolling Stones and the show will go on. One can buy tickets on the web for the Adelaide and for Perth show right now. They have played in worst circumstances. The show may well go on,but not right now.Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I fail to see how this leg of the tour can now proceed. How can Mick be 'The Showman' that he is with this hanging over him.The

QuoteFrankM Quotesteverogan QuoteFrankM Good. Get the cheap appetizers out of the way early and let The Stones be the main course. Springsteen is a "cheap appetizer"? How do you figure that? The guy has been continually making new records, touring, playing three hour plus shows, sells out all over the world, is one of the greatest songwriters and performers of all time, and he is a &q

Maybe those who are prepared to go down to the wire might get a decent deal - it aint gonna look good if there are a stack of empty seats - not risking a 140 mile trip down there on the offchance though - for those of you going, have a great time - hope its worth all that dosh.

I'm certainly not gutted about it - no way would I pay these stupid prices, totally unacceptable in my view - just hope common sense prevails,if & when a tour is announced.Too far for me to turn up on the offchance of a sensible priced ticket at last minute - all the same, for those of u who can afford it,have a great time.

Unless the ticket prices plummet,I ain't going - I paid £150 to stand next to the B stage at the O2(last concert-2007) - given the economic climate,I reckon thats plenty to pay,in which case - guess I'll be giving it a miss - shame on them,it's a total joke.

Amidst the 'Doom & Gloom' of the ticket fiasco - this is as decent a song as we've had from them in some time - so on that I'll say well done.Lets hope sanity returns come the tour proper so at least some of us will be able to afford to hear em play it live.

Just come back off holiday to this happy news - its an utter disgrace - lets face it,they're not exactly gonna be firing on all cylinders are they? Not the slightest bit interested at these prices, they can sod off - its a fine thank you to the true fans who have supported them for all these years. I don't post here often but have been a big fan for almost 40 years and I just don'

Won't be rushing out to buy this, that's for sure - crap title & how many GH albums do we need?Perhaps we are meant to be grateful that they've managed to cobble together a couple of new tracks for us - don't think so - 50 years is a mammoth accomplishment & it ought to have been marked with a new album at the very least. Having said that, lets face it - a band that w

QuoteJustin QuoteGed Rambler why would I wanna fork out £150 -£200 a ticket for a couple of hours with the Stones - got 3hrs 20 minutes of Bruce for £65 - way,way better value for money. Oh yeah? I don't remember Bruce playing "Midnight Rambler" or "Monkey Man"...surely a great ticket price and a 4 hour show won't fix that issue? Since when did Bruce Springsteen

QuoteGazza QuoteDoxa QuoteStoneage There are a few excuses which could be acceptable: not being stageready is not one of those. True but literally that claim by Mick is contingently true: most probably The Stones are not at the moment stage-ready. However, if they would have liked to perform, they - of cuorse - would have been... But like Ronnie said there never was any intention. - Doxa G

I don't know, but would assume that all the acts turning up have done so out of the good of their hearts, being it was the Olympics & a lot of its success was due to an army of unpaid volunteers. If so,maybe thats part of it - no money in it for the coffers - we'll just hang fire for the tour & then fleece the fans with even higher ticket prices under the banner of this really be

A missed opportunity in my opinion - the Stones are a London band - no doubt they were top of the organisers 'hit list' - they would undoubtedley have closed the show - given 50 years in the business, that's how it should have been. I suspect its just a case of the Stones being 'THE STONES' - they probably think they're above such a thing - shame on em,would have b
