Hmmmm. No scanner. Two of the discs with the Forty Licks tracks both are missing the final songs, so I suppose the Japanese wouldn't be this sloppy. They are on gold discs, with very elaborate packaging, obviously factory made, and sound quite decent. Does anybody know if any 24 bit versions of the Stones tracks were cut?

Hello! I recently found two used Stones double cd sets: Forty Licks Bigger Bang The first claims to be a HDCD disc. The second claims to be a DTS recording. There are a lot of spelling mistakes and so on. Bigger Bang includes a bonus disc which is actually Forty Licks Disc 2, and Disc 1 ends with Monkey Man Rock Me Baby Worried About You I have never seen these track line

A very interesting point!. We hear the fake stereo vinyl versions of the early Stones albums and cringe, but back then they were pretty cool, maybe even leading edge, for pop releases anyways. Then again, some mono albums, like the Beatles White Album or Sargeant Pepper for example, where also quite different than the stereo release; different guitar parts, edits, vocal tracking, special effects

In the centre circle of each disc it says they were "Made in Germany by PMDC" and haves the matrix number 844-479-5 01 +. On the side of each disc it reads 844 478-2, and also says BIEM STEMRA.
