Yes, the art of playing the piano is very much Jagger... Compare it to 1999 backstage with Chris Evans. It´s the same way with a different sound. Overall the "TWFNO" snippet sounds more like 90´s than 70´s to me. it´s not a real piano.

In Berlin there where around 100 people yesterday. The sound was loud but thin, too. Guitars way too low in the mix. Jagger very upfront. Wymans bass sounded awful wooden dry, no punch at all - drums ok. The picture restauration is fine and the whole performance ambitious (in a good way)

Quotefloodonthepage Wait, so is it correct that the previous "Hot Stuff" error has been corrected, but now a "Cherry Oh Baby" error has been identified? The intro is cut off? "Hot Stuff" is fixed & everything all right with the intro on "Cherry Oh Baby"

Quotegeorgelicks The album is produced by Andrew Watt, and we all know what an Andrew Watt produced album sounds like: energetic, modern, glossy, and powerfully mastered. Anyone who expects anything else is living in a fantasy world hoping the album will sound like others released 50, 40, or 30 years ago. Just a month ago, Mick uploaded a clip, and it's crystal clear what the new album wi

the mix is really (to say it positive) "interesting": guitars are very stereo upfront bass & drums are very much (mono) behind....compare it to the original mix & master of 95´s "Stripped". much better..... mhm...mediocre feelings.... sounds like they didn´t waste much time in mixing pretty well. sad sad sad.

Quoteexilestones I've never seen this 1989 rehearsal video before. Where can we get this video? The Rock and a Hard Place intro (7.45) is really cool. Sad Sad Sad (4.15) started great! Where is the rest of it? Is it confirmed that this is JFK stadium rehearsals? So, this guy has this footage and just teases us and doesn't share it? WTF? What is the story of these rehea

QuoteCaptainCorella Does she have any plans for an English Language translation of the book? There's a modest irony in a book about LONDON not being available (yet) in English. Unfortunately, it is not the author but the publisher who decides whether the book will be translated into English. Whether it is worthwhile and whether there is a need. But you're right: a book that is set

Hey Folks, a very good friend wrote this book and I would highly recommend it as it has a lot to do with the great days of pop music in the 1960s & early 1970s, the Rolling Stones, Beatles, Roxy Music and London. The exciting question why at this time there was a connection and intertwining of the so-called high culture of art and the harsh blues & pop music. Galleries like that of Robe

Also, "the piano doesn't sound 1972". These engineers are using 2020 software plug-ins to mix these songs. It's not hard to alter a source if you're working with the multi-tracks, whic

But honestly, there are three bass players and Jim Horn on flute for "Dancing with Mr. D" (Glyn Johns 1973 Mix)... I wouldn`t rely on the credits - but on my ears (as a musician & pianist):-) If you can’t hear the flute in Mr D, I question your ears! It backs the slow dangerous guitar riff! V

QuoteChrisM42 For what it's worth... This whole track including the piano playing sounds 2020 to me. Jagger can play this way on his own as evidenced in solo and band outtakes. Chris M. I am with you. For sure it´s NOT Nicky Hopkins playing the main-piano part. He has a very different style and piano tuch - just listen to the songs we know for sure it IS Nicky on piano. And yes
