QuoteTheGreek [Going back to the mid 70's when this tirade happened which was in his video/anthology/history is certainly a stain on his reputation is not a career defining moment, nor is it anything that is flattering in the least , but he was drunk and probably stoned on who knows what and that is no excuse but this was the wild 70's and the world was not "woke" as it is no

I liked the song from Italy. France too. Portugal was nice. Ukraine was weird and fun. I guess this is what you call guilty pleasure..

How is he a covid denier when he willfully got the vaccine? And stop with the racial accusations, you sound silly. That word is so overused now

But he took the 2nd shot? What a joke. Seems like Racist Eric had a bit of a sore arm. I f***ing loathe that guy.

QuoteNilsHolgersson Quoterbk Does the world really need another over-priced corporate era Stones live album full of the same songs and stage banter? This is a pretty special concert since it broke several records as the largest rock concert of all time I believe that record belongs to Rod Stewart. Same place.

Not an official member of the Church Choir, but his last two records just arrived by mail. Mr. Misunderstood is one of my favorite albums of the past 10 years.

I really liked this one. But it’s been a while since I last heard it. A couple of re-worked older songs of his like Stuff and Seventeen. My copy is autographed, but I think it’s hard to find a copy without his signature.

He could do no wrong between ‘68-‘75. A very underrated string of albums. ‘Understanding’ is absolutely brilliant.

Yacht rock is soft rock that embraced smoother R&B sensibilities in combination with layered vocal harmonies and state-of-the-art production. Must have electric piano on it. Think Steely Dan, Christopher Cross, Toto, Kenny Loggins, Gino Vannelli... acts like that. Maybe stuff like Fool to Cry or Beast of Burden. But also; not really. Never thought of Lindsey’s Trouble as Yacht Roc

QuoteLeonidP I got the first album too, Shake Your Money Maker, and I liked it a lot at the time -- still do! But I could never understand how they maintained a following after that, I was lost after Southern Harmony myself. Amorica is their greatest record.

Quotenorthof49 Hardly 'new' Hardly yes... he's 67. The first Gap Band album is from 1974. But yeah... great, late 70s-early 80s, band Not particularly fond of his solo career though. Wouldn't really categorize it as Soul. Gap Band was funk, solo he's r&b. And he seems to be on every hip-hop/r&b album. Enough already... (last years Car #85 with Nas was pret

Lianne La Havas released one of the best albums of 2020. You might want to check it out. Black Pumas are pretty good. Maybe more hiphop than (neo)soul, but Sampa The Great and especially Anderson .Paak are great. And the already mentioned Yola is a force of nature.

Quotewindmelody Eric Clapton might have said something tasteless almost half a century ago - he apologized. Blaming him over and over again for a mistake is inappropriate. One can "endorse Powell" or not endorse Powell. This is a matter of opinion. In a democratic society everybody is free to have an opinion. No, supporting racism (see Rivers of Blood speech) is not an opinion that sh
