1. Voodoo Lounge. Iconic stage with that giant fire spitting cobra and (for the time) a great video screen. The fireworks during Not fade Away, Start me Up and SFTD reallty added something. As did the inflatable dolls. 2. No Filter. Simple, but very effective Huge screens, good stage size. 3. Bridges to Babylon. Those golden statues, the big oval screen, the fireworks. Very good design.

Tough choice between Monkey Man and Emotional Rescue. Both of them are pretty good played live. I prefer the live versions over the studio versions of those two tracks. Heartbreaker the other way around. Great studio version, mediocre live.

I scored Live at Racket on saturday at the end of the afternoon in Utrecht, Holland. I was pretty surprised that there were still two copys left. The debut album was sold out unfortunately (They got 5 and sold all of them in the first hour of RSD) I hope I can buy it online once the RSD leftovers are added in webshops.

Steel Wheels or Voodoo Lounge please! I'd love that. I think the best outtakes of both IORR and B&B ended up on Tattoo You, GHS deluxe and Tatttoo You Deluxe. Not of lot of nearly finished material left there. Dirty Work and Undercover are among the fans'three least favorite Stones albums, so a 'Deluxe' edition would not really make sense. Even the songs that made t

Quotebuffalo7478 I don't think there is a single weak track on Beggars, Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers or Exile (though almost every album prior or since has one or many). Having the right 'someone' in-charge of the process - from fleshing out songs to quality recording, mixing and mastering may have helped GHS, IORR and beyond? or maybe the magic was gone? A good producer certai

Too bad they still don't make LP + BR packages from these releases. I love to watch the show and listen to it on vinyl. Now I have to spend like €75 for two packages, and I will probably never touch the CD's... The majority of vault releases I just went for the stand-alone Blu-ray versions. Except for El Mocambom Paradiso 95 and Steel Wheels Live. Those three I also have on vinyl. I&

Angry would be a good opener too Maybe it's a litte too late to lose the image of a legacy band, but hey it's been 18 years since their previous album right? Why would you keep songs like IORR and even Tumbling Dice in the setlist, just for the sake of it? Those songs never were big number one hits that everybody knows. By the way, I wouldn't mind if they took satisfaction o

Always loved this song. It has a kind of baroque ring to it. The same way tracks like Lady Jane or As Tears go By have. No R&R at all.

Wow, I love that! Thanks for sharing. Steel Wheels is kinda special for me, becauase it was the most recent Stones album when I became a fan in the early 90's. - Sad Sad Sad: Great opener. Still a good rocker! 8/10 - Mixed Emotions One of my favorite >70's Stones tracks 9/10 - Terrifying Love the vibe, but not the structure of the song 6/10 - Hold on to your Hat Mediocre 5.

QuoteSpud Looking at all those wonderful pictures, kindly posted by Urban Steel, nicely illustrates how the goal posts have moved. When you look at the VL and B2B stages for example, the architecture had to be the thing making the statement because the giant screen technology wasn't then nearly a good as it is today. Those stages were awesome to behold ...but didn't actually en

I know the word and the meaning. In Dutch it's called 'landheer', but it's an old-fashioned word that's only used in history books and such. That's why I thought it was remarkable. But if it's a common word in English language, it probably is just a coincidence.

Fair enough . I can't recall the use of the word in any other Stones song, and suddenly it appears twice and on those two songs.. I wonder if they ever used inside jokes on tracks now that I mention..

Maybe it's just a coincidence, but I noticed that the word 'landlord' appears in both Mess it Up and Live by the Sword. A word that is actually not used very much these days, I think. Now those are exactly the two tracks on the album that Charlie plays on. I was toying with the idea that maybe it's a nod to him or something like that. Or is that too far-fetched?

Is it really due to vinyl shortage? I wonder how well the previous versions in the series sold.. With the mono box, the SHM CD's and a lot of recent RSD and anniversary editions, I cannot imagine that they sold a lot of them..

How do these SHM's sound compared to the SACD series (which I already have)? Do they sound better? Or do they use the same DSD remasters?

A yellow or brown Hackney Diamonds would be nice eh? Kidding, I hope this time they will come up with something truely special. Not just another colored classic album or compilation.

Quoteironbelly QuoteNathanLaze are "flat transfers" really the case, then ? hopefully everybody has an equalizer on his music system so it's not a big deal turning "2009 remaster" to "flat transfer" using some frequency gain controls I have no idea if those CDs with additional letter K in catalog number will be with 'flat transfer'. I already bought

Completely reworked in the studio. It doesn't sound like the YT vids from the show at all.. True, those were recorded with smartphones, but especially Angry sounded very bad in the clips on Youtube

Does anyone has one of these? I didn't see one of them out in the wild and I'm curious about the quality of the artwork/sleeve. The covers in the Stones in Mono box were pretty bad in my opinion.

Quotestoneskid Has anyone seen this? Seems scammy. Don't buy this! It's a scam.. The box is out of print en sold out. Goes for hundereds of dollars on the used market. When it seems too good to be true.. it probably isn't true..

Making video's cost a lot of money. And they do not affect sales that much anymore. So it's more or less wasted money. A simple lyric video is far more effective.
