I'd like a new >71 compilation. But not just the big hits or singles. It would be nice to have some fan-favorite on it like Star Star, Rocks Off and Can't you Hear me Knocking instead of Rock and a Hard Place, Rain Fall Down, Don't Stop or Sexdrive. And FFS, design a good cover for once. Rewind, Sucking in the Seventees, Jump Back, Honk, Grrr!.. Horrible...

I still really like it. Every album since Steel Wheels was called 'their best since Tattoo You', but I think Hackney Diamonds is the only album that deserves that title. I recently gave Voodoo Lounge a spin, but half of the tracks are not that great really. Same goes for BTB and ABB. For me, HD has 8-9 very good tracks and just 2-3 mediocre ones (Live by the Sword, Bite my head off).

30 years.. I remember well when the CBS collection was replaced by this Virgin catalogue. I bought them all at the time. 30 years is also the estimated lifespan of CDs due to bit rot and disc rot. How are the copies of these Virgin CDs of the members here doing?

Vinyl remains good for a relatively long time. There will probably be an LP that breaks or is thrown away, but the copies that came into the hands of real fans or collectors 30 years ago will be well preserved and not simply thrown away. CDs are unfortunately a completely different story. Entire collections perish due to the concept of disc rot (or bit rot/laser rot). The lifespan of a CD is e

I've drawn the line a bit for myself with that ABKCO catalog. It's always old wine in new bottles. No bonus tracks, no improved sound quality, and the quality of the artwork on some albums has even deteriorated in some cases. I have the Stones in mono box and a number of original releases from the 60s, what am I supposed to do with 8 versions of ENHM in all kinds of colors and variat

I actually like 'Ain't hurting nobody' and 'Drive my car' The album is typically Wyman. Catchy, childlike songs with tongue in cheek references. And poorly sung too unfortunately. Bill is no singer, but appearantly he thinks otherwise. I respect that he still does what he likes most. Not for te money, not for the fame.. Just that...

I've seen a lot of Stones cover acts over the years. Some pretty good (Stones Sessions for example), some really bad. The worst are the ones with a Mick and Keith act in it.

QuoteGasLightStreet My biggest issue with TSMR is it sounds like they were trying in some spots and naturally flowing elsewhere. It's convoluted. It goes from the incredible 2000 Man to out right ridiculous with let's sound like mushroomed hippies and make a bunch of odd noise to sound different Sing This All 2 with as many odd instruments as possible that sounds like a mud puddle.

The first two minutes of the song aren't that bad. The melody is actually pretty nice. The main problem of the song is that it only has one verse and the rest is filled up with an incohorent jam. If they made a song with this melody and two or three extra verses, it would be a decent track that would perfectly fit on Aftermath or Between the Buttons.

QuoteParis75014 Koeman seems to be very angry with the ref because of the penalty granted to England. I think this penalty was a bit generous. What do you think of it ? He was only trying to block Kane's shot. That's never a penalty. A few seconds before that, Saka touched the ball with his hand, but the VAR missed that completely.. Ridiculous decision. But overall, England was

I can't help feeling that this is just another way of taking the money out of the fans' pockets. Soon you will be able to buy canned farts from the band members. But if then again.. If it makes people happy to spend their hard-earned money on it, who am I?

We all don't run and jump like we're 10 years old anymore, do we? When you're 77, things just don't go so smoothly anymore. That's your answer, I guess.

Charlie looked very fragile in his final two years. Of course he had some serious health problems, but that's not something you fully recover from when you're 80+ years old. My opinion is that if he had survived the operation/treatment, he would not have been strong enough to tour anymore. And I wonder what the other Stones would have done in that case after the 2021 tour.

My opinion on Voodoo Lounge has changed a lot over the years. It was the first album that was released after I became a Stones fan. So it made quite an impression on the 14 year old Jalfstra. I loved songs like Sparks will Fly and I Go Wild, but nowadays I think those songs aren't that great actually. I do love songs like Blinded by Rainbows, Love is Strong, Out of Tears and Thru and T

That's a nice surprise! Did not expect to hear new music from Bill, to be honest. THe man is 87 years old. And altough I never really liked his solo work (I do like some tracks on Monkey Grip), I'm very curious what he recorded..

QuoteWhale wonderful news but i already have a Japanese bluray of this will this edition be different? Yes, it will be different. The resolution of a standard Bluray disc is 1920x1080 pixels. 4K Bluray comes in 3840x2160 pixels. But you will only see the difference if you have an 4K television and a 4K bluray player (PlayStation 5 and Xbox series X video game consoles both are 4K bluray pla

1. Voodoo Lounge. Iconic stage with that giant fire spitting cobra and (for the time) a great video screen. The fireworks during Not fade Away, Start me Up and SFTD reallty added something. As did the inflatable dolls. 2. No Filter. Simple, but very effective Huge screens, good stage size. 3. Bridges to Babylon. Those golden statues, the big oval screen, the fireworks. Very good design.

Tough choice between Monkey Man and Emotional Rescue. Both of them are pretty good played live. I prefer the live versions over the studio versions of those two tracks. Heartbreaker the other way around. Great studio version, mediocre live.
