At the Chess building at 2120 S Michigan Ave they have a photo of Willie Dixon flanked by silhouettes of Muddy Waters and Keef. It was taken by a Kodak Instamatic, I was told and it's one of the greatest photos I've ever seen. Shame I can only tell you about it. It's a work of art, though without ever thinking it could be. I think it was taken the night they went to The Quiet Knigh

Fleetwood Mac with Peter Green were amazing. He went to South Side Chicago clubs with Willie Dixon on a couple of occasions. One time, Willie had to stop somebody from taking his guitar. Willie Dixon was a master of gentle persuasion.

I love looking at them every time. One of the band on the tour; one of Bessie Smith, Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday; a self portrait and one of Marvin Gaye. H

Blimey, that's how you do it. Dame Vera Lynn was 103 years old and she was the darling of the nation ever since the last war. What an incredible lady and one of the most visceral songs of all time. Imagine how many lovers listened to that song during the war. Utterly amazing. Bless her cotton socks.

The Rolling Stones never cease to amaze me. To be the first to put something out during the pandemic and to hit the nail on the head, is amazing. Truly the greatest band of all time.

Greetings from an Englishman in Chicago; it's lovely to be here. Rory Gallagher is probably one of the greatest blues guitarists from outside the US. However, I don't think that Keith with Rory would have worked for long. One great album and tour, perhaps? As far as I can ascertain, Rory left Rotterdam to go on his own dates and didn't leave the Stones with much choice but to find
