Ah, you guys are thinking old-old school.. Think dvds.. But if your shops were really that old I could put you in touch with my friends dad who has a garage full of unboxed VCRs just in case they were to ever stop making 'em he says

This is wayyy off topic, and granted I didn't spend any time researching the OT rules so if this is too far OT well then, enjoy it while it lasts.. We were really shortsighted when we stopped spending money at video rental stores. Online streaming has failed us. I could pretty much find almost anything I wanted at our local Blockbuster, even the weird stuff. In the past two weeks I ha

Until recently I was hardcore "nothing post Tattoo You" was worth listening to (except She Was Hot and verses of Feel On Baby).. With covid and too much time on my hands I took a friend up on his challenge to really listen to the newer stuff. Surprise, surprise: I LOVE A Bigger Bang. Picked up the re-release and spin it almost daily. Guess it took me a long time to let go of who t

QuoteRam I was after the Brian Jones signatures as well! Looks like we were in a bidding war against ourselves haha. Really liked the Indian or Italian restaurant tab. But not at $3,200. Oh well. Ended up with some cool, little pieces and overall satisfied! Fun to watch, even tho the announcers couldn't even pronounce the items correctly at times! The auctioneer looked at "Joujouka Test

Quotemattleeuk It mad how people go for what they know... things like the phone without a box at $3,840 yet some killer, killer rare gems like the 1972 towel ($448) I picked up hardly had any bids. Those prices should have been the other way around. Knowledge is everything... I love that phone tho! (no, I didn't buy it

QuoteGasLightStreet Saints were dull in the first quarter. But then they woke up. Although I only saw some highlights (and haven't watched anything yet on YouTube) it looked a little obvious that not having pre-season games had an impact on flow, routes, even stupid penalties. Bucs quickly looked like the Bucs. It won't surprise me if they get it together by game 3 or 4 and

Quotecrholmstrom The Seahawks weren't perfect yesterday but they looked pretty damn good. The Jamal Adams trade is looking like a great move at this point. That guy was everywhere on defense. Looking like it's going to be a fun season here in South Alaska (credit to Charles Barkley, haha). GO HAWKS! where in Southeast? From Ketchikan originally (tho live far from there now), maybe we

QuoteCaptainCorella Quotesnoopy2 That, Bill's amp, and the toilet seat cover all belong in the Smithsonian NONSENSE! The Rolling Stones are a UK band, not a creation of the USA (in which case it would be a reasonable point). The British Museum would (nay, should) be the place for this sort of stuff. I already holds things like the manuscript for some famous Beatles' songs.

Quotemattleeuk I bid on the amp but I didn’t win... just for the adrenaline kick of bidding. The toilet seat cover though will be on display in my museum for all to see and might even make it into the book too! Can't wait to see your museum.. Finally got a small item of Bill's today (from 70s).. Still want something small from the Jones era tho so I'll reach out later.. Have fun

Quotegeorgie48 Quotexke38 And $704k for Brian Jones's '68 Gold Top Les Paul. Who would you think bought it? I have some thoughts, but not worth mentioning. I could afford to offer only a bit more, but then without the "k" Someone in Stones organization, some banking HQ to hang in their lobby, or Jack Nicholson.. That, Bill's amp, and the toilet seat cover all belo

Hey Mattleeuk! I know you're a very serious collector, wondered if I may have been bidding against you yesterday on any of the ticket stubs or brochures from the Brian Jones era? My pockets are not deep (right now) so couldn't compete -- But am writing you cuz if you ever have a small token (preferably a ticket stub) of that era you're willing to part with for a fee, it's all

Just finished this, great, thanks! I was also witness to the Mick "F*ck yeah" moment you wrote about, (in fact I included it in my review of that night, under Matt Shields Chicago #2).. We were near the catwalk and I'm pretty sure it was during Brown Sugar audience call & response and suddenly he turned our direction with a big smile and yelled it out.. Thx
