For those that are going to NOLA for Jazz Fest. Last year I got the WWOZ Brass Pass - it’s a little pricey, but worth it. Separate entrance, private hospitality sweet with plenty of food, water, iced coffee, and bathrooms. And the option for re-entry. I was there all seven days - the brass pass really made the difference.

I just saw then at Jazz Fest in New Orleans. Due to the festival set up it was not a typical show. They played one set consisting of 11 songs with lots of extended jams. Oakland, CA, July 26, 1978: Last show of the tour, Mick’s birthday, and the show sold out before you even knew they were touring! Prior to the Stones (very late) appearance, a helicopter flew over the crowd and the doors opened and dropped thousands a ping pong balls and a few blow up dolls onto the crowd below. I have no idea how they got away with this - seemed illegal and very dangerous.
