This thread and the info contained herein was referenced by Variety Magazine which I thought was pretty cool. I mean, who else would know better.

I agree with you completely. For me it's the anticipation and the hope I'll have a feed that has that moment when the lights go out the band starts playing. Get me through the first song like that and it's all just a bonus from that point on.

it seems unhealthy in some way that I'm 3000 miles away holding a phone and too excited to speak knowing how close it is. hope we have scopers but I'll love following along with the setlist if that's all we have. I need help.

During this lull I'd recommend searching for the Who on tour. (not now, they played last night, I'm just talking during the lull) Then go to twitter and search the who periscope. They'll have a couple pretty good scopers each show (Debbie Tiger did at least one) and while the Stones are better, these Who shows are pretty good and Roger sounds amazing following his recovery from

That was an unbelievable MR. Best of the this and the last tour and that's really saying something.

Not that I'm complaining. I'd rather hear this twice than this then HTW which I'm a little tired of after 400000000 listenings.

Has the intro to Paint it Black replaced the "dreaded cowbell"? Hoping for anything in between now and PIB.

Great Gimme Shelter. Do you suppose someone told them about Periscope coming back up so they gave it a little extra? No chance at all? None?

Before the intros while Mick was talking did he say "midnight rambler"? Swear he did. Definitely never heard that before. Was I right and what did he say or did I celebrate too much before show started.

I've just informed 10 Super Bowl watchers they're about to lose sound. Had to invoke the "my house, my rules" law.

Has anyone else had problems playing the videos on the official website? They don't play for me on any computer I have in my house. I love playing the Hamptons Road video with the backstage footage at the beginning. If you haven't seen it you simply must. Please respond if you can't play the vids either. Otherwise I'll try to figure out what's wrong on my end. Tha

I've always loved reading Robert Christgau's reviews. He doesn't do song by song or anything like that and does fall in love with his own writing from time to time but he loves R&R and LOVES the Stones. Everyone here should go to his website and read his Stones reviews from Yaya's to the present. Agree or not they are good reading for the fanatic. By the way, I think

I saw both bands in Atlanta recently (I just love the thought of people thinking, damn, this SOB saw YGM which is why I keep pointing this out.) Roger was great that night but if they keep it up they need to follow the Stones strategy of three or four nights between shows. I think that helps the singers immensely.

I already have my periscope twitter search ready. How will I make it until next year? How far off the rails will I go if it doesn't happen. Inquiring minds want to know.

I always preferred this record to the ones on either side, Undercover and Steel Wheels. And here is the Robert Christgau review, which is obviously just one mans opinion, but I note that he loves a lot of the things some people here hate. The Rolling Stones: Dirty Work (Rolling Stones, 1986) Dreaming of solo glory, Mick doesn't have much time for his band these days--just plugged into
