I was just logging on to see the response to Edinburgh's merch and came across this post It's been an honor to have contributed in some way to their last 5 tours. Quotewith sssoul QuoteGlimmerGirl24 I was curious about what inspired the Santiago lithograph - thank you for posting and sharing the mural. It's a very creative tongue poster - one of my favorites. Same here - I was looking all over the www for hints about archaic Chilean alphabets and the like, so it's very nice to have that backstory. Is the street artist who originated it someo

QuoteGlimmerGirl24 QuoteRoyalHue The official Santiago poster was my design. Personally very pleased how it turned out and honored it was chosen for the tour. I appreciate all the compliments offered, great to hear the feedback from committed fans. For those interested in the design's backstory, it was inspired by a street art mural in the Bellavista Barrio in Santiago. The poster design

QuoteHandova Good one, and congrats RoyalHue ! Many thanks Handova! It was an honor as always to do work for the Stones. Quoteeverwest1 Glad you liked the backstory and appreciated where the idea came from. A large part of my job is research and finding local inspiration. Thank you. QuoteDoc Thank you! I figured some context would help relay the direction for the poster. Chile and als

Not official, but pretty cool. The designer looks very talented indeed. I had a very similar concept for their PinkPop Show during the 14 on Fire Tour. Had the tongue logo as a pink melted popsicle... no girls sharing it though

QuoteIrix What's the motif of the Kansas City Poster? A egg slicer Irix I think the Kansas City design was based off the Zahner Building, not the Kauffman Center. Zahner is an engineering and fabrication company with their campus in KC. Here's an image of the Zahner Campus Building:

Quotetomy1 Just had my Orlando Alligator poster framed - and it looks great - will post a photo later. Would recommend to any one purchasing a poster at an upcoming concert to bring a mail tube with you these can be purchased for a couple of dollars at any office supply store or even Wal-Mart. I brought one for the Orlando show and it was a god send. I saw people trying to carry the posters ar

Many thanks for all your comments above. I really do enjoy interacting here, not just because of your feedback and passion, but because I too love the Stones. This forum is the pulse imo of real fans of the band and it's important to me how designs are received.

Quoteswimtothemoon Royal Hue, I'm a poster collector, music and film related, and have enjoyed the posters on the last couple tours. If you don't mind sharing; which posters did you design? The Atlanta design is interesting in that it is a 360 degree departure from the previous posters. I would not want to see it repeated on the remaining dates though. I designed the Berlin, Rom

QuoteMingSubu I really like your Stones work too. Not asking for specifics, but has all the artwork been chosen so far? Or do the pick as the tour goes on? Thank you MingSubu, I appreciate the compliment. The poster and shirt designs for each the venues/cities is on going. The general band merch sold throughout the tour and football themes have been chosen prior.

QuoteNikkei Are you okay with sharing your Dallas artwork anyhow? I wish I could Nikkei, I'll ask again this year to see if it's ok to show the designs that did't make the cut. If I can't show the finalized designs, maybe I could show initial sketches and inspiration. QuoteNikkei Isn't that B/W screen in the image from Munich'82? You are correct, the digital

QuoteNikkei I had the presentiment that the Minneapolis Loon and Perth Swan were created by the same artist. I hope RoyalHue is at it again as well, I really liked his efforts. I appreciate that very much Nikkei. I am at it for this tour as well, just none of my city specific designs seemed to have been chosen so far. Still a few more opportunities and cities to go though...I was really hoping

Quotefrankotero For instance a cool idea (imo) for Rome would have been The Stones as Roman Emporer cariactures standing by some ruins, or maybe riding in a chariot at the Circo. Just a thought. Wish I was an artist, then again I'd be too busy with all these crazy ideas. I like that roman caricature idea Frank. I imagine it being those white stone busts. Very epic... and would be very coo

QuoteNaturalust But, I am getting a bit tired of the tongue. Once it was Warhol hip , now it is ubiquitous and overused in the art. I'd like to see an artist dare NOT to use the icon and still capture something that is Rolling Stones. Maybe it is a requirement, specified by Mick or his people, but it's starting to get a bit predictable, like the setlists. Anyhow, I'm not

I appreciate all the compliments on the poster design. The other design was nice too, seemed to fit within the group of designs on this tour that focused on the venue. In my design the tongue's texture was inspired by the SAHMRI building in Adelaide.

Quote24FPS Love this poster art this time around. Wish they'd had these same people do their lame T-shirts. I appreciate the compliment on the posters. What did you mean by "lame" tshirts? On the tour or general tshirts for the band? I was just curious. I've only designed one Stones shirt outside of the 14 on Fire Tour Series.

I don't know if it's "special", but here's the poster I designed that was chosen for Adelaide. It's on the far right of the merch photo above. It didn't really get any exposure on any Stones social media outlet that I saw, they opted for highlighting the Oval Stadium one.

QuoteJumpingKentFlash I was contacted by a Stones t-shirt designer back in 2006. It was for the gig in Horsens. They wanted to make a special event tee, and needed ideas. (The designer was the one who made an ABB tee with a lobster on it). In the end they didn't use my idea, but opted for a far lamer design. They chose the one with the stage on the back and a Danish tongue on the front. My i
