QuoteDandelionPowderman QuotePecman It's Simple...these 4 in any order: Let It Bleed Sticky Exile Some Girls By the way...the best engineered Stones album by farconsidering when and where it was made is BLACK AND BLUE...hands down. The worst is a toss up between these three: Goats Head Soup: Made in a sub-par studio in Jamaica and instruments are completely out of tune.

Quote71Tele As has been said, single used to be artistic statements in themselves - not just a way to market an LP. Absolutely-the stand alone single/b-side and e.p used to be part of a good band's reportoire-if you had plenty of material it made good sense. All the extra artwork really added to things as well. The Clash being a good example. Also left room on albums for 'album tracks

Yeah the boogies and ampegs really suited Keith-his sound 75-83 was always great. The twins are almost too pure for the way he plays these days.

QuoteCome On For Dirty guitar-tones for real...check out Johnny Thunders....and J Mascis... Yeah-the Fender Twins aint the problem-theyre just not being driven hard enough. Personally i think they sound much better with LP Juniors/Specials through them. Johnny Thunders got a great sound with that combination-Keith has favoured the'only just breaking up' sound since Steel Wheels.

Great rhythm section, Perrett's unique talent and i love JP's guitar playing - a lot of bite, attitude and rhythm but also a lot of melody. I think the second album was even better. Never read his Exile book but woul

Amazin drumming by Kenney Jones-gives the number a unique feel-the Wood/Jones combination always had its own groove. As great a drummer as Charlie is he wouldnt have played it this way. IORR sounded real good live in 76 but the feel of the studio cut has a shuffle that never appeared again.
