It goes without saying that the complete Altamont Concert from the Multi-Track would be the Holy Grail. IMHO This concert contains the best live version ever recorded of "Gimme Shelter". Just sayin.

Controversial for sure, but what about Altamont? Premiere of World Brown Sugar. Maybe the best version EVER live of Gimme Shelter...I know --NEVER GONNA HAPPEN

Totally disagree. Paris on 10/19 they were on fire! I have seen many shows goig back to 1975. The first three shows I saw - 75, 78 (twice) they were TERRIBLE! Then in 1981 they werw golden. Every time I have seen them from 1981 on they have always benn GOOD. The nights that they have been GREAT are the nights when Keith is on fire. I can usually tell wiuthin the first song based on how intensely/

Hi Bjornulf. I was there with my GF from Chicago. Her First my umpteenth. It was chaotic which I was afraid of as I was expecting New Venue-Itis. We got shunted away from Gate 14 (even though people were going in there) and finally made it to gate 33. We got in and walked down to the floor. No Wristband. I figured the ticket we had would work. The entrance to the Pit on Ronnie's side rejecte

What do y'all think? This concert was recorded in multi-track by Bob & Betty for the Gimme Shelter movie. There were some smoking hot performances that day: "Gimme Shelter" - probably the BEST live version ever recorded by The Stones. Somebody released a compilation combining the edited version from the movie end credits with the edited out parts found on a bootleg. This versio

Someone has taken the stereo version of Gimme Shelter that plays over the end credits of the movie and added in the pieces that were edited out of it from a bootleg version of the entire song from Altamont. Bottom line, I think it is the best version EVER played live by The Stones. Google it find it download and see for yourself. There must be a complete multi-track recording of the con

Just listened to the whole thing. I saw the Stones in San Diego and my review is on the review list. SD was the first show after this and I have to say the whole thing is good --- quite good in fact -- which every Stones show ALWAYS is these days! However...I think Keith's playing was not "On Fire" in this show. HE seemed to be laying back somewhat. The intro to CYHMK was played by

Multi-Source version of Altamont. If one can get past the horror of the Day, the set was pretty good. They played Brown Sugar for the first time live at Altamont. Pretty Crazy.

Okay, Gang. Now that the word has leaked out that the US government has been takin' pictures of everyone's texts and cell phone calls on the Ultraviolet light, it's time for teh Stones to acknowledge their prediction of the future back in 1974 by playing Fingerprint File!

My first Stones show was in 1975 at Chicago Stadium. I was SO pumped up. We had seats behind the stage. They were TERRIBLE! I couldn't believe it. But I still believed. Then they came out with SOME GIRLS IN 1978 and we played the Plastique out of that record all summer long. And I saw them twice in Anaheim. And they were TERRIBLE both times! Again I could not believe it. But still

Thank God we are out of Anaheim. Did anyone notice the Nazi vibe Saturday night? Starting with the Really Milataristic Bible Thumpers lined up every ten feet outside the Honda to the completely obnoxious Honda Usher who got into my face during Brown Sugar because I was one foot into the aisle and then the infamous Exit route created by who knows who to make sure we CANNOT get on Katella to eas

This band never ceases to amaze me. Been watching them since 1975 -- somewhere around twenty shows. Last night was simply incredible. We had tickets in the pit. Got there at 4:30P, cued up outside and waited. We were lead in and then waited in the main level of Anaheim Pond another 20 minutes. Meanwhile grabbed a beer and now we're OK. Finally we are led into the Pit. Lots of room. SRO

Yes. Get excited. Two words: Mick Taylor. Love Ronnie. I first saw them in 1975 in Chicago. They were terrible. Saw them twice in 1978 at Anaheim Stadium. Horrendous, although being present when it started raining shoes on the stage was Classic. Then came 1981 at The Coliseum. It was Night and Day. Ever since then they have always been great to amazing. The key was always Keith
