Lived up in Canada at the time and remember this well.. The big joke in the media after the sentencing was the benefit concert should be for the "deaf" (yuk yuk..) Went to the concert in Quebec City in '15 where Keith met up and took backstage pics with Rita, I believe.

QuoteRockman So does that mean Brian was the only Stone to record at Abbey Rd ???? Mick recorded there with Dave Stewart for the Alfie (remake) soundtrack as well.

QuoteWelshEdge1 Quotepetewasbristol Cardiff Principality has opened many major European tours recently due to its roof and availability (Springsteen, Oasis) and with gaps in its May schedule I'm keeping all my fingers crossed for the Stones! It's empty 90% of the year, though with the roof closed I think it sounds worse. Last show they upgraded people including myself from GA to Golde

Even though the band and setlist got better as the tour rolled on, Houston makes my top three. Always an extra charge for the opening, this one particularly exciting with new music to be heard. Top 5, based only on shows I attended. 1-Santa Clara 2-Houston 3-Vancouver 4-Seattle 5-Chi-2

Quoterollmops Quotetreaclefingers Faraway Eyes was magic. When Keith and Chanel come in for the backup it's just great...this should be a staple and I hope makes the live album. Far away eyes on this tour seems to be the version Keith originally wanted the country song to be; serious. The way Mick originally sang the song in 1978 was "funny" and tongue-in-cheek. So eventually K

What a fantastic last stadium show!! The sound at Levi's was exceptional, as was the band, the setlist, the crowd.. So glad to have made this one.. a little bit last minute for me, with a lot of help from stones friends, I had a blast (dodged the bullet flying out early this am). The opener in Houston was great, but they somehow managed to just get better and better every show, W

QuoteSjouke Hello, what is the easiest way to get from San Francisco to Santa Clara? Is public transport or Uber a good option? Thanks! sjouke There's a few options, and perhaps a local has better info, but I believe the Caltrain to Santa Clara is the best option. They apparently have added extra runs for show day, but least expensive and quickest(?) short of an expensive cab or Uber on

Very similar to their last one at Levi's. Like the current one better.. but both good. Wish they still did the numbered lithos at the show, not a big deal but have always liked to get merch you can only get at the concert.

Definitely less interest in these pages, but I don't think it has anything to do with the quality of Hackney Diamonds or the shows. The passing of Hairball (RIP) alone likely accounts for several pages per live thread by itself. That and a few other long time posters who have passed or stopped/slowed posting. I remember the last LA show threads, and Hairball definitely spurred a lot of c

QuoteTumblinDice76 We know they rehearsed CYHMK but it hasn't been played yet. Only 3 shows left. Not sure where that one would fit in the setlist order. Are we missing anything else that was rehearsed but hasn't been played. A tad bit surprised we got 4 repeat vote songs this late in the tour. Several.. Dreamy Skies and Depending On You just in Seattle for starters. While the vote

QuoteGasLightStreet Quotemjmjr sorry i misunderstood.....i thought you meant it hadn't been sang since 1975 That is what I meant, which appears to be a fact, but it turns out he cut it out before then even. Here it is in '98 Bridges (3:54). I think this may be the tour that one of the Kennedy's respectfully requested he not play it while they were in attendance. That'

Lol. Apparently I'm quoted in the article.. and promptly refuted “Pretty well accepted as truth that Jagger ‘changed his art’ at a request of … The Kennedy’s(John Jr.) I applaud his decision to honor the request,” wrote someone identifying themselves as MisterDDDD. But that explanation seems unlikely, given that author C. David Heymann, in his late-2000s biography of John Jr. and Caro

Quotedownagain For those who were there...the videos make it seem like a pretty hot crowd. Was that the case? Depends on how you’re using “hot”. Nice occasional breeze from the open roof was very nice.. In terms of being an awesome crowd, filled to the rafters, that was into it, they did not disappoint. Fantastic crowd. So great to see and be a part of. Gold rings on ya Vancouver…
