QuoteMartinB Is it known if Emerson gets credit for False Prophet music? Why? Ike Turner created the riff and took it from an old blues song.

Quoteroundnround You should also check out the book "Up Jumped the Devil: The Real Life of Robert Johnson", by Bruce Conforth and Gayle Dean Wardlow, which was published last year. It's an incredible, deeply researched book which uncovers more information about Johnson's life than you would believe possible after all these years... Best book about Robert Johnson by far, incl

There are faint rumors that "Bootleg Series Vol. 16" will come out in the fall, focusing on the "Infidels Sessions", which include Mick Taylor on guitar, of course. P.S.: According to Michael Chaiken (Bob Dylan Archive in Tulsa), they have only recently managed to transfer the "Infidels" sessions. "Infidels" was one of the first rock music albums to hav

The best: I think that the first Rolling Stones documentary by Rudi Dolezal and Hannes Rossacher from 1982 is still one of the best, because it truly captures the spirit of the band. Is that film available online somewhere? Charlie Is My Darling is a masterpiece, too. Then Dylan's Don't Look Back, of course. And Renaldo & Clara, even though it is not a documentary as such.

QuoteCristiano Radtke QuoteGazza QuoteCristiano Radtke Just guessing: Balinalee Population 347. So obscure a place I doubt too many people living on the island of Ireland have heard of it. I certainly haven't. I doubt Bob has either!! My guess was based on the fact that Bob seems to be a History geek (the Titanic connection, the battle of Balinalee, or this Antoin Ó Raifteirí poem - al

QuoteHairball Thanks schillid for posting the lyrics. Listened twice last night and was overwhelmed with so much imagery and references to take in - now just read through it all and am still overwhelmed. Always loved to read Dylan's lyrics in print (with and without musical accompaniment), and this new one is no exception. Quotefloodonthepage Quoteslewan Quotefloodonthepage Quoteslew

Quotedoitywoik QuoteDoxa QuoteMrEcho Word is that a new Dylan album is ready for release (recorded in LA in January/February 2020). Unconfirmed, though. That's the best news I've ever heard! Please let that be true. LOVE & THEFT was released at the same day (minus or plus one) as 9/11 - is Bob repeating the formula here, releasing new stuff while the world is in crisis?

Quotejlowe QuoteDandelionPowderman I will (it's too late to stop it now), but I probably don't have common sense The Entertainment industry will already be looking at Christmas and planning releases on an assumption that the worst of the crisis will be over. And the public may then be very receptive to making purchases. It's a business, after all. And meanwhile creative ar

Does anybody know if the very rare mono LP from 1966 called "Have You Seen Your Mother Live!" (produced by DECCA in the UK for sale on continental Europe) has the same mono mix as the US mono LP "Got Live If You Want It!" on London Records?
