The Hyde Park '69 show is one of my favorite shows by the band. I have heard quite a few different versions of this concert, but this is by far the best version, containing more elements than all other versions and patching missing parts with segments from the audience recording(s).

QuoteFrogSugar It occurred to me that one of them was left out, and I always assumed it was Ronnie as he was the new guy. Wikipedia has nothing... ChatGPT gave me the names of all 5 musicians! When I told it there were only 4 it said: The cover of "Emotional Rescue" features thermal images of only four of the band members' faces. These members are: Mick Jagger Keith Richards

Quotedmay A new Hank compilation that sounds interesting. I have a number of songs, albums, collections by him. They are part of what I call my "inner hillbilly" which is part of me due to my dad's playing country music on the radio and watching country music shows when I was growing up. Hated it then but I came on around. I look at some of Hank's songs as what I came to call

Quotehakan Hi everybody YouTube have a post from Hyde Park 1969 which sounds a little bit peculiar when it comes to the stereo segments. Listen for an example at Have mercy from 07:23 min. Could this be an AI version? Sounds pretty good to me. Unfortunately the video does not include the full show, while the audio portion of the new Mayflower release has the complete show in supposedly superior

The description of the audio portion of the Mayflower release sounds enticing: The cd portion here is in real stereo with some exceptions, with the FM source improved drastically. The songs order has been restored, Love in Vain is in real stereo and with no interview covering the music and guitar solo, (...) in few words no other recording of Hyde Park has had this great sound so far. The audio

QuoteDoxa QuoteMathijs I just love this show, with all glitches and out of tune guitars. It's such a strange gig for them, they don't sound anything like they did before or after. They were such a powerhouse in 1969, unbelievable. Mathijs Finally someone else who sees the extraordinary value of this concert musically. I was afraid that I was the only one... Not only that The S

Little Richard, Right Now (rec. 1973, rel. 1974) Great, but often overlooked album, produced by Robert "Bumps" Blackwell. Timeless, rootsy sound. First re-release on vinyl since the late 1970s. Now with updated artwork, remastered etc. Here's an excerpt from an old vinyl rip of the original: The Best Of The Wailers (rec. 1970, rel. 1971) Despite the title this is not a &qu

Just one, all others will cease to exist, including pre Dirty work albums Go As Dirty Work is my favorite Rolling Stones album, this is easy. Dirty Work it is.

Quotebobo When did they make a real solid album from start to finish? Never. Overrated all the way through. Every album sounds the same. Weak songs, a riff here and there that is good. That is it, for me though. "Let There Be Rock" (international version).

Little Richard's "Pray Along With Little Richard Vol. 1 & 2" (1960) are two of his best albums and fantastic, southern gospel albums featuring authentic recordings of the music he grew up with. Interestingly Richard is not using his shouting Rock & Roll style voice, but sings in a full baritone. I Want Jesus To Walk With Me: Troubles Of The World:
