Oh hell yes, go see him. Me and Elmo both dug his show a year of two back. Maybe I'm prejudiced being from Detoit and all but the dude's still got it. His sax player too And the cat behind the drums...old Grand Funk Drummer.... Hey Elmo QuoteElmo Lewis First saw him in 1977. Many times since including the last 2 tours. Always great and really seems to love the crowd and tou

My first was 1966 in Detroit. Sat on Brian's side of the stage. Wish I could find some pix or audios of that show.

I don't care if it's discreet or not but yes, just call it quits. They could keep going but only if they restrict themselves to small club dates and only play blues. Folks say they ain't gonna do that, so just quit.

I always liked this track. Simple perhaps but it rocks. Another great cut on the "Charlie Watts solo LP" as someone once said. Never realized that Brian was not on the cut. Imagine it what it might have been if Brian had added his color.

IMHO Tempo is slower on the second one. Tempos can dictate the kind of rhythm that should be used, second video is staigther, no double bass drum kicks He's not playing a shuffle on the bass, listen to Hooche Coochie, that's a shuffle. Being on the beat makes songs sound stiff to me. They need to beathe a little.

Here’s the complete list of the “Top Ten Things I, Mick Jagger, Have Learned After 50 Years in Rock ‘n’ Roll”: 10. “Nobody wants to hear anything from your new album.” 9. “Never take relationship advice from Phil Spector.” 8. “Before shouting ‘Hi Seattle!’ make sure you’re in Seattle.” 7. “You don’t earn a cent when someone does a song about having moves like Jagger.” 6. “Everybody you mee

Thanks Stones for a long time and a good time of music. First saw your perform in Detroit, 1966. Amazing that you're still going! Who would have ever thunk. Too bad Brian and Stu aren't still around. But somehow, I think they might know. Ask Charlie for one more time, please. and bring Bill along. Marv

I just watched Crossfire on HBO Demand. I'm 62 so that colors my opinions. I still think the best of the Stones was up until Brian died. After that, just occasional flashes. I was not disappointed at all that more recent footage wasn't included. It seemed to me that there a real coherence to their growth of the band. Brians death seemed to bring the movie to a crawl. I was gl

I love almost everything from the beginning up to Satanic Majesties Request. But hey, everyone can make at least one mistake. They redemmed themselves with Beggar's Banquest. Then Brian died. The magic was over at that point. They did manage to put out a couple of decent tracks but the LP's mostly sucked IMO. Of course, I was 16 in 1966 so I suspect my age might have something

November 14, 2012 This week, All Things Considered is talking to The Rolling Stones one by one, in honor of the band's 50th anniversary. Each of the Stones was asked to pick one song from their archive to discuss. Drummer Charlie Watts — at 71, the eldest statesman in the bunch — chose the song that gave the group its first No. 1 hit in the U.S. YouTube "I chose 'Satisfaction,&#

Sorry, I came upon this in a very indirect route. I went to that concert in Detroit. It was my first time to see the Stones. I sat on Brians side of the stage. What a memorable night! Wish I could find some pics of that night. That's how I came across your note. Sorry you didn't get to go. Marv quote=MissNBrian] welllllllllll, how about an 'supposed' almost
