I have very mixed feelings about Brian Jones. No doubt he was a versatile and inventive musician and one-time leader of the band, but towards the end, he really did seem unable to function and therefore contribute to a lot of the music like he used to. Not turning up and being unable to tour in the states WAS a burden for everyone else I'm sure. No doubt Mick and Keith bullied him a bit, tho

QuoteyorkeyDoes it all stand up to music from Hendrix, The Stones, Doors, Queen? Good gracious, NO! I'm 23, and I think music of my generation is absoulutely abysmal. I wouldn't doubt there are some really talented bands out there, but judging by what the industry is like, I doubt we'll ever get to hear them. One of the only "newer bands" that I like is The Blac

I remember reading about her making jewelry, that's awesome. I wrote a blog on her about a month and a half ago: My Uschi Blog Post I've been thinking of starting a Marianne fansite, but I've never made one before so I'm not sure how to attempt it.

QuoteCindyC Well thank you kindly. Does a color version of the shot exist? I don't think i've ever seen one. This is the closest I've been able to find.

Quotetomk An interesting story FWIW: Monkee guitarist Mike Nesmith was in London in February 1967 on a promotional visit and was invited by John Lennon to a Beatles recording session at EMI. The session happened to be the orchestral build-up for A Day In The Life. But what does Nesmith remember about this historic session? Nesmith: The only thing I can remember about the session was Marian

Sorry if I've been annoying anyone with my Mick and Marianne thread or babbling about my love of her and Anita Pallenberg. But as some of you have posted some pictures that I had never seen (and I've scoured the 'net endlessly, believe me!), I figure there must be some more floating around... This thread is dedicated to pictures of any and all Stones Goddesses: Marianne, Anita,

Man of wealth and taste... here are some more pics from that session. To me, judging by her outfit, it looks to be on the set of The Girl On The Motorcycle. That's the exact sweater and hair style (half pulled back with black bow) that she wears in the movie. This last one I just found last month some time.

Look at her teeny arm! I love that picture though. I enjoy the juxtaposition of dope-sick, frail Marianne and round faced little Nicholas.

Wanton Witch - actually I hadn't seen some of them!!! Thank you SO much! I've seen some from that same night (in the collage), but only these: And that pic of them in the woods--glorious! Where did you get that? The only ones I have of that day regrettably have the Getty watermark, which ruins the photo: Keep 'em coming, guys! Here are some more.

Absolutely my favorite "Rambler" version. It's so good it almost hurts. Pure sex.

Jerry does look stunning in that picture. And the woman on the left sure does look eerily like Bianca, doesn't she? Interesting.

Awesome pics everyone! Rockman, I love the July '67 one of M & M outside in the woods by Michael Cooper. I've seen that before I think, but a LOT smaller. Thanks! The two of them do look a little "worse for wear n' tear" nowadays, but given all that they lived through with narcotic excess, it isn't so surprising I suppose. But in their heyday, they really were

Hi everyone! I am a huge Stones fan, and through the years of loving Mick, Keith and the boys, I was also incredibly romanced by the stories, lifestyles, and all-around glamour of the Rolling Stones. Born from that was an obsession with legendary Stones goddesses Anita Pallenberg and Marianne Faithfull. In my opinion, no one could touch those two ladies circa 1967 - they were beautiful, brilli
