Great point!!!!!!!! Apple is bad about audio quality. But alot of people are paying extra money for 192/24 and HD tracks onto a computer..........and then not playing it through anything that converts or upsamples to that audio quality. If you download a high quality audio source and just play it through a computer without a good DAC you are wasting your money!!!!!!!!! Maybe the Stone

No need to talk about rates for recordings.........get yourself a good amp and cd player. I have sold cd players up to $5000 US. These will squash any download with an SACD or good remastered recording. Have done demos with all different kinds of files to these........you hear the difference. I have played familiar recordings on these players and people hear instruments and nuances you will

YOU ARE RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!! Being one of the old guys, I would have paid $100 in 1977 to hear a crappy bootleg of this. Keep in mind that they were much harder to find and it would have been two years after the show. Unless you have very good audio equipment, you are going to have a tough time hearing a difference in sound quality. But if you do.........CD quality recorded as slow a

Hey........I am over 50!!!! And I am enjoying this itunes download to the fullest! I do have a very good sound system......I downloaded it as slow as possible to cd. I guarantee it is one of the best live concerts I have heard in quite some time. Bringing back the memories of the second PHILLY show. If you do record it this way you will need two cds. I know from experience this wil

For what it is worth, the SACD disc has two layers.........a "normal" layer and the SACD layer. Not all but most do. If you have a do not have a SACD player, you will not hear the SACD layer and will not notice a difference. That being said, if you have at least a "mid-fi" system, you will hear a big difference between SACD and a normal player. Beggar's and Let It

Where can I get the Empress Valley LA 75 SUNDAY show? I have the LP version and would love to get a nice cd set of the Sunday show. My favorite version of Tumbling Dice and a few others and the famous Jagger line "Who went to church this Sunday".

Just a note......I could tell the differences between the Virgin and the JVC remasters on my system with the JVC sounding better. You need a really good system, especially a really good cd player to tell. On a "casual listening" system you will not hear a difference. The new Universal remasters sound "louder". The new EXILE remaster is the best sounding of all on my syste

Heard a killer version of "Can't You Hear Me Knock'n" by the Black Crowes on a British radio station on Saturday. Killer live version. Never heard it before. I live in the US.

I have been listening to some radio stations from Europe on my Sonos internet radio. I have it hooked up to a pretty good int amp and I am enjoying some of the classic rock mixes from some of the European radio stations. Here in the states one company (Comcast) owns most of the major sations. Radio is not what it used to be here. Looking for suggestions for good classic rock or rock stat

I saw them twice on this tour. They were great. It is very hard to capture the true sound of the LIVE Stones on a recording. I will take those two shows any day. Keith actually played.

I have had cd players that do 24 bit and over 1000 hz! Check Esoteric. I use a non oversampling tube cd player with a $15000 Mcintosh system. No files will ever come this way......you need ears badly! Feel free to stop by and weep!

Get some vintage tubes in your system......listen to an LP or CD. You will never listen to a computer again. Try SACD Beggar's with some tubes......cannot be beaten.

Come with me for a day.....I sell to those who are really sick. It's not Celebrex.......when someone comes up to you and they tell you what you sell saved their life.....it is a pretty damn good feeling. I sell Viagra. JUST KIDDING. My drug is for the very sick though. You never heard of it. Greed......you try to invent a drug. Trust me I was not always in this business.

There are more side effects to cheesburgers than Celebrex. Bt the way you missed the buying of docs and congressman in the pharma industry by 5 years. Just lobbying now. You really have no idea what you are talking about. I had two very good friend lose their jobs yesterday........they were good people. The heyday of big pharma is way over.

I totally agree with the better component the difference in sound. Do (UM) sound "better" on my small system (NAD/PSB speakers). The Mcintosh/SALK sytem is where I critically listen.......listening to the Japanese OBI EXILE on the system right now. Sounds great!!!

I think some songs sound better on the Um remasters....but overall I think they are just "louder" for download purposes. I have pretty good equipment and I am starrting to go back to the Virgin releases. I think the UM releases overall are noisy. Tatoo You is one of the better remasters overall(UM). The Beatles remasters are very superior to these and trust me I am a bigger Stone&#

I agree with the above posters. I have listened to about seven of the albums. The overall sound is good. The early albums "stereophonic" aspect could have been improved. From Sgt Peppers forward I really think they sound better. Much better soundstaging. If you are not going to buy a box set, I would look from 1967 on. I agree the mono versions are the way to go especially if you a

I don't remember anyone having a bigger "buzz" around them touring than the Stones. I grew up in the 70's. Sure Zep, and quite a few other bands were in their heyday. I could name a couple I actually liked more than Zep THEN. A Stones tour has always been a big deal. Even now I hear people contemplating if they should go see them......because it's the Stones and they

I just listened to Dirty Work and Steel Wheels. I bought all of the remasters to this point. I cannnot see any reason to buy further because from Voodoo Lounge on they sound great to me. I always thought these cds (95 and on) were fine. I do think there is some improvement on the detail of instruments overall. I do not think they were remastered as well as they could have been for audiophile
