I love the early Beach Boys music but I never knew to what extent that the band did not play in the studio other than Brian. I saw a documentary called the Wrecking Crew and they played much of the instrumentation.

Undercover the album was really the end of the Stones as a relevant rock band in terms of new music. It took forty years for them to release an album that compares with it. Hackney to me is the best album since Some Girls. But Undecover is very good and the title track is really great! 25 x 5 for my money is their best documentary. Crossfire was a little disappointing that it ended in 1982. It was almost like the band was admitting that they were great until 1982 and they aren't very proud of their latter day work. Just my take.

T&A - I am usually in agreement with you. Not here. Just My Imagination is a great cover the song is full of energy. Miss You is a great song it has just been played to death. i'd agree its not up there with the greatest they've ever done but still a great song. Some Girls to me is the 6th best album they have ever put out after the big four and Aftermath.

Dandelion - I think SG has more than four outstanding songs. Miss You, When the Whip Comes Down, Just My Imagination (I LOVE their take of this song!!!), Far Away Eyes, Before They Make Me Run, Beast of Burden and Shattered are all outstanding in my opinion. The only clunker is Lies.

Some Girls has always been one of my personal favorites. it is however a devisive album amongst older Stones fans. It is such a departure from the Mick Taylor years. Ronnie was fully incorporated into the band for Some Girls and the sound is a lot different than even Black And Blue. My sister who was a fan of the 60's Stones hates this album. I say bring it back but rotate with other songs. JJF, Satisfaction and Gimme Shelter are the only songs I think they need to play at every show. SFM, HTW, MY, SMU, SFTD, TD, BS, PIB, IORR, MR, YCAGWYW can all be rotated around. Include more songs from Hackney DIamonds and other hits and some lost gems.
