QuoteNikkei I'm beginning to doubt these claims that every new variant is 60-70% more contagious. The numbers don't support that. The Alpha variant i.e. the UK mutant was 60% or so more contagious, as compared to the first variants of the new corona virus. There are numerous reports about it, and we have seen it in Norway, by the numbers, more and younger people into hospital. The R n

Scotland’s Billy Gilmour has tested positive for Covid-19 and will now miss the game with Croatia on Tuesday, it has been confirmed. Chelsea midfielder Gilmour, who was outstanding in his first international start in the draw with England on Friday night, must now isolate for 10 days. It means he is out of the final game of Group D at Hampden Park, a match Scotland need a positive result in

Sticky Fingers Restaurant, 1A Phillimore Gardens London W8 7QB - just off Kensington High Street. It was a great place to meet people - fans and friends - for many years. I will still remember the address and place, like one of the many Stones related locations in London.

SFR was basically a burger restaurant. The bonus was the Stones merchandise on the walls, even in the washrooms/toilets. Also the many fans and friends you could meet in SFR during Stones related shows and tours in London at the time of course. I haven't been there in ages, there is absolutely nothing I can eat there. I think Bill Wyman sold the place some years ago. Don't know if the n

I just wonder how much these great players actually have been playing together as a team. I mean, Mbappe and Pogba, or Fernandes and Ronaldo, or Kane with all the other great England players, they all perform great in their own teams, but when they appear on their national teams, they do not work as a clockwork at all. Blame it on the corona pandemic? I don't know. It is easier to play defen

Right now there isn't much trust between countries when it comes to border crossing. They are afraid of fake vaccine papers, fake covid test results and so on. The border between Sweden and Norway opened last week, there is a five hours queue to enter from Sweden to Norway, over the bridge at Svinesund, because they do manual control, you have to fill in forms, they check your vaccine pass a

Some great playing today, top quality football. Gareth Bale did some magic today, amazing football player, Wales winning well deserved vs Turkey. Then the beautiful goal by Italy vs Switzerland. Locatelli - Berardi - Locatelli - Goal! Some times football is true art!

Norway will have more than 90% of the adult population age 18 and up vaccinated at least once, by August. By October, the adults will be fully vaccinated. Per defintion, a disease affecting all people in a country, or in the world, is a pandemic. The pandemic will be over country by country, as controlled by vaccine and border control. At one point, when the vaccination rate is 70% or more, a

Quotebye bye johnny Good read about the post-Covid logistics of a stadium tour: Garth Brooks on Resuming his Stadium Tour Safely: 'I Think We're All Learning' by Melinda Newman June 11, 2021 Good read indeed. Like Garth Brooks is saying this: What about for your crew? The state and stadium laws come first for us, but we’ll probably mask mandate our own band and c

The total age of a band's members will of course grow with the number of band members. It is a silly number used by journalists who don't know what to write. If you add the backing band, and the crew, they are more than 1,000 years old in total, and adding the crowd, may be a million years old. Much better than a boy band with total age less than 100.

One and a half year into the pandemic. Still there are as many virus experts as there are people on the planet. Some are hanging on to some crazy theories a la the earth is flat, vaccine does not work, the virus is not dangerous, and so on. There is plenty of research, science and facts around. Keep in mind the India a.k.a. the Delta virus is a completely game changer, same with the UK a.k.a.

If you look at their tour history, they have added shows on just 4-6 weeks notice. For an entire tour they would probably need a bit more time, due to rehearsals time. I guess they will need to announce at least two months ahead, meaning a tour start in September should be announced in July. I am sure they have more than just one covid-19 pandemic expert in the tour management, even more importan

If everyone was under 50 years old, and hunted deer and rabbits all day, I am sure nobody would worry about covid-19. We need to face reality, which is a world with many elderly people, average expected living age in the 80's many places, people surviving cancer, people on strong medication, people with overweight, all of that is part of the real world, and many are at risk, especially w

They are planning the shows and booking stadiums both for2021 and 2022. Still, they need to get rid of most of covid-19 and the madness related to the pandemic. You don't move into a burning building until the fire department have done their job. The Delta variant a.k.a. the India variant is just one example of why they need to do this sort of last minute, not months ahead.

The Rolling Stones have better lawyers than most of us. Sure they make sure they have a cut in anything they do within the show facilities, if it is within the contract reach, like sales, catering, merchandise etc. The tour is coming up, in USA this fall, that is a pretty safe bet.

Quotekovach QuoteAquamarine Quotedaspyknows The US as a whole will NEVER get to 75%. Many states will but many more will never hit 50%. Truth. Never going to happen. Add in the folks who have already had Covid and have natural immunity and you're pretty darn close if not already there or beyond. If you get covid-19 through the virus you are protected i.e. immune for six - 6 - mon

I just don't understand those who resist taking the vaccine. In Norway there is just one discussion now : vaccine politics. Everybody do want the vaccine, it's just a matter of who should be first, or rather last, when everyone at risk, and everyone above age 65 have got their shots. Age, teachers, politicians, royalties, supreme court all of that. By the end of July they say most of th

The Oslo area has been hit hard by the pandemic, because 1/3 of the population live in this area.
