The next Stones album is not released yet, but still some fans do worry about sales of the album. So why not worry about WW3 or may be tomorrow you will be hit with thunders and lighting. I do love "Hackney Diamonds". If the next album is at the same level, I will be happy. To be honest, I will be happy anyway.

Celebrity weddings are so 100% off topic - they do not deserve a separate thread on iorr. If Mick choose to attend any such events, then this 2025 «Mick out and around» thread is the place to post any comments. And as usual, please no comments about politics. The fact that extremely rich people choose to spend millions of dollars to party is their choice. Like it or not.

Production of an album do take time. Marketing planning, design, booking vinyl production, actual vinyl production, then all the other formats. Hackney Diamonds was finished spring 2023, and released Oct 20, 2023. That is 6-7 months. Depending on their plans for marketing and performing shows to promote the new album, I would guess relesing late fall 2025 would be possible.

Very few performing artists may fill up a stadium year after year. The Norwegian pop group a-ha is holding the record crowd of 198,000 fans at Maracana stadium in Rio de Janeiro Brazil in 19981, even listed in the Guinnes book of records. They may do sold out stadium shows in Norway any time. Critical mass. Nostalgia. The fans know all the songs of these bands, so they are a sure sell out wheneve

UPDATE July 13: If you have big problems with IORR Tell Me forum performance in general, then please post here, including where in the world you live i.e. browse from. If performance is not a major issue, then I may stick with the current solution for still a while, due to extra cost and work issues.

This is a thread in memory of Brian Wilson. If you don't like Brian Wilson or Beach Boys, then please do not post here, there are several Off Topic threads about their music. I think it is a disgrace to post here saying "I do not like" or "not my cup of tea"; it is like going to a funeral and say "I did nok like him/her"... Some decency is a minimum please

I have been a fan of the Beach Boys and Brian Wilson as long as I have been a Stones fan. What a brilliant music mastermind. I was so lucky to see Brian Wilson live in Oslo Norway, also in London UK with Blondie Chaplin. Love And Mercy!

I am aware of the fact that there are performance issues with the IORR Forum pages, i.e. Tell Me, Hot Stuff and All Sold Out, while all the editorial pages should be loading immediately as always. The Rolling Stones do deserve a fast IORR forum system, so I will try to get something up and running within the next few weeks. UPDATE July 13: If you have big problems with IORR Tell Me forum

It is not a rumour - it is a fact. The Rolling Stones i.e. Mick, Keith and Ronnie, pluss several of their support musicians, have been at the Metropolis Studio London UK all through May and more i.e. 5-6 weeks working on the songs for their next studio album, also more studio works in the past, after the 2024 tour finished. Great days for all Stones fans! For those who do not like their curren

New album due, 13 songs ready. Now it is for the marketing machine to secure a smashing title, album design, and who knows, may be even a few shows by the end of the year, to promote the album.

The Rolling Stones does not take requests when recording. May be from their mastermind producer, and their band mates, but I don’t think they go to social media for finding ideas while in studio. I will be happy with whatever they do. Since 1963, what a recording legacy! We are talking 2025, 62 yers on, and two years after their previous studio album. I am just happy to be part of it all!

Everybody is stealing online. I have seen contents from IORR taken with no references for 30 years now, since the beginning of widespread www. People will still know where the source is. All copies are just copies, never updated, never accurate.

The title of any story in any editorial publication is under editorial review. I am never changing any title, of any thread, except for may be 0.1%. In this case I changed it, and I did also give an explanation. To change back the title, after an editorial correction, is to challenge the editorial responsibility. I am still the editor of IORR.

First of all it is pissing me off when titles of threads are taken out of context, to make people interested in something that are surely not all that special. The editor will have to dig out the real title, check out the story, change the title, and edit whatever crap somebody else would post into such a meaningless title. Secondly, this is a 46 minutes video, where an irritating journalist i

The thread that "disappered" is this one, still available for reading purposes: What’s next for The Rolling Stones in 2025? The above thread is closed, because it was abused for political statements, repeatedly, due to the general title of the thread. If someone want to post comments from that thread related to 2025 studio works please do so, but mind you several youtube links

The Rolling Stones have been said to be in studio this year, working on songs for a new album, following their highly successful 2023 album "Hackney Diamonds". JUNE 11, 2025 UPDATE: Following 5-6 weeks of studio works at London’s Metropolis Studios during late April, all of May, and into June, they have laid down 13 songs, and are in discussions over a release date for their new

I have been working on "IORR v2" since Jan. 1, 2024. The most recent activity was this one: Next Generation Stones/IORR Forum (March 28, 2025) The next step of this transition will be to find a new board of directors, a number of persons who do have time and interest in moderating and taking care of the IORR policy for the time to come. The IORR board would be approx. five - 5 - p

I don't think Mick and Keith do care for a split second about what others may think about their career. They will never retire, unless they are physiclly unable to play and/or perform.

QuoteStoneswolf Concerning the possibility of late summer / fall concerts I just want to point out that in 2017 the No Filter concerts were announced in the beginning of May with first rumors starting end of April. So is a fall tour really off the table? In 2017 Mick was 74 years old. In the fall this year Mick will be 82 years old. At the ages of 20’s 30’s etc you don’t change much but going

May be they will announce a new album, 2-3 singles and a world tour of 100 or so shows during the next three years. Or may be I just picked up an old paper from the seventies. To be honest, isn’t it time for a rest?

Sure sites like wayback machine may store some backup files, but IORR is not just plain web pages, it is also a forum, originating from a database, and you will often see this: > The Wayback Machine has not archived that URL. > This page is available on the web! Also, it is illegakl copies of copywrighted pages, so I would never trust stolen contents. The wayback machine may not repl

QuoteIrix Quotebv I am still looking into how to preserve IORR for the future. That is a separate task. Maybe it could be explored if IORR could be officially integrated into the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine. That makes no sense. The Wayback Machine is illegally copied web sites. IORR.org is a real website, owned by the current publisher.

QuoteStoneage You know that also means that this forum will be, more or less, sealed off from what goes on in the world outside the devotion of old rock bands? IORR is a Stones fan site. Period. IORR has been running from 1980, i.e. for 45 years. I forgot to set this thread as "closed". Still some try to justify talking about politics here. There is no paid staff in IORR. I p
