I think there is one important point missing in this whole discussion about ticket prices: Economically, sold out stadiums are not the optimum. For example, lets say u have a stadium with a capacity of 50000. If you can sell 40000 tix for $150 you make $6000000. If you want to sell out you may need to lower the price to $100, then u make only $5000000. Also the higher prices give the possibili

Well its not by the Stones but from one of them. My rarest piece is Keith' Run Rudolph Run single. The Harder They Come is the B-side.

Firebird is a guitar made by Gibson and at the time i signed up to this forum i was thinking about buying one. I decided not to buy it since i already have 15 electric guitars but thats a different story. Ronnie is playing one from time to time. Here a pic:

From Chucks latest blog: ...We went to Monaco, Cap d’Ail, Vilefranche, St. Jean, Cap Ferrat. Tom pointed out to us the historic house where Exile on Main Street was recorded…Nellcote. He told us a story about talking to the woman that had rented it to Keith…. and that she had fainted when she saw what shape the house was in after they used it…apparently it was pretty well trashed. She sold it

Well i noticed that he had problems in Stuttgart. He wasn't able to sing high notes, for example on the chorus of SOL. A couple of days before in Cologne he had not problems with those high notes.

Hi, im playing guitar now for 20 years but i have no idea what u are talking about. There is no thing in a guitar that makes a wah wah sound. Only thing that comes to my mind is the B-Bender that some Telecasters are equipped with. But its not a wah wah, its like a tremolo bar that is attached to the strap pin. You pull the guitar body down to make it work.

I saw them on tuesday in Bonn and they rocked like hell. Zak was fantastic, he gets as close to Moon as u can get i think. Pino played a solid bass but he should work a bit on his sound. JE always had a very bright, almost metallic sound which has always been a trademark of The Whos's band sound. Rogers voice was great and Pete must have been bowling a lot during the last weeks. Well quality started to go down in the early 80s but in the second half of the 80s it became really bad. But you have to keep in mind that even during this period a few really great guitars were produced by Gibson. Just the average level of quality went down a lot.

JuanTCB, if its a exactp copy of the Gibson Les Paul Black Beauty, it has an ebony fretboard, not rosewood. I agree, the quality of Gibson could be better but its still above the quality of Epiphone (that doesnt mean enough u wont be able to find an Epi that is on Gibson level but they are hard to find). Its not true that the quality of Gibsons went down over the last few years. It went down a

Hi Duane, i got the same mail and its simply not true what you wrote. It says nothing about if you "can't make the rescheduled Frankfurt date". It says "if you don't WANT to wait for the rescheduled show". Here is the mail: Lieber eventim-Kunde, Sie haben bei uns Tickets für das Konzert der Rolling Stones in Frankfurt erworben, das, bedingt durch den U

Frankfurt is postponed and now they play Vienna that night? Why not find a free date for Vienna? If they postpone Frankfurt to maybe next year why dont they do it with Vienna? This is a hit in my face i will give back tickets. And i cant believe Cohl saying he is "delighted". Does this man care about all the people that are now in trouble with flights, hotels and so on.

First, since im new to this forum, hi to everybody! Dunno if somebody else posted this here before, but CCTV is broadcasting most of its programs via the internet. I dont have any information about it, but I think there is a good chance that we can watch the shanghai show. You will need a program called PPLive to watch it.
