I think it's cool to see two current releases from these entities that still maintain "cutting edge" and stand out as some of the best stuff of their careers. Can you see any band or solo artist who can stand the test of time and last 40 odd years..?? Name one..I dare you..

Me thinks we need to cut Chuck a little slack; I agree that he makes himself out to be one of the Stones, but he plays a mean keyboard and adds to the emsemble, rather than take away...Was he the same way the the Allman Bros? That seems to be his persona... What's up with Blondie? He looks as if he's in his own little world..Was he the same with the Beach Boys...?

I sort of have a problem with the "selling out" thing. Yes, the Stones are leaning to the sell out side, but more power to them. I remember that argument when Zappa fans felt he sold out (Joe's Garage..Dancing Fool) but he opened up his catalog to people who would have never cared before. Can you name any groups from the 60's who didn't sell out? They seem to no longe

Ronnie's "salad" days with the Faces were right up there with Keef; now I would probably give the nod to Keith...he's still got the riffs down pat!

Don't stop works in the context of filler..good for 40 licks..but bad for ABB; I look at each release as a period in the band's life and DS fits on 40 licks, but is out of place on ABB. DS was safe and didn't take chances, unlike the stuff on ABB..while I like DS, it would be out of sorts on ABB.

Concerts from the 60's/70's were fresher with less demands upon the artists. It seemed like less of a business then, although today's shows are technically more advanced. I think it's fair to compare it to sports in a way...30 years ago, it was more for the love of the game and not the money..now it reeks of corporate sponsership and the bottom line..the almighty buck..it see

..mine was MSG '72 when you had to send in postcards to get "picked" to get tickets..I sent in the postcards that were enclosed in Exile and was so happy to get picked. Stevie Wonder opened for them and I sat in the nosebleed seats..but at 16, I didn't care one bit. They brought out a big cake for Mick, since it was his birthday.
