But since it's one of those humongous bands by the time they come on with 15 guitars, and since Gazza says it was a surprise, there isn't really anyone to lead the band into a few changes. I have also seen Ronnie play Ooh Lala in standard tuning. The whole song is D to Em7. The D note in the Em7 chord you can add on the B string, or have it droning through in a low string. The real "magic ingredient" is the Capo. But I agree that on the record it is in Open D/E.
