Amazing Voja. It's just wild how they hit every frontpage in every country. Doesn't that look like one of their setlists on the front of the Cinese paper? LOL The kind of list where they also write the key of the tune on it.

Strange, at first I have kind of a list in my head. Then I start scrolling down, and it's like "Oh Jeff Buckley!, then "How could I forget Joe Strummer". Then it took quite a while for Cobain's name to pop up, longer even for Freddie. I also think the best criteria would be, if they might have given us more suprises and gems. Jeff Bucklet e.g was JUST getting started. Fre

Sydney 26 is one of the alltime fiercest Stones shows. That video of "Bitch" is from US Tour though. Jagger cut his hair before Australia. Plus that clip has been edited together. As seamless as it looks it is not from the same song. Keith plays lead on a Les Paul on "Bitch". In the clip he is shown on the Tele several times in a different shirt, up until the solo when we see

It looks like the two of them are pretty 'on'. But since it's one of those humongous bands by the time they come on with 15 guitars, and since Gazza says it was a surprise, there isn't really anyone to lead the band into a few changes. Jagger tries to cue them at some point but the stops never happen, So I don't blame them for not being too excited about their performance

He copied "Miss You" twice then. "Sexy" was a rip on MY just as well.

A few more Charlie Sexton/Doyle Bramhall II (Arc Angels) Stevie Ray/Jimmy Lee (the Vaughn brothers played together a good bit) Paul Westerberg/ Bob Stinson (Replacements) Scrappy Newcombe/Doug Pettibone (two top guitarrists from the Austin pound; Lucinda Williams, Ian MacLagan)

If you link onto one of the other videos that come up at the end of this one, you get a live version of "Dancing in the Streets". Paul McCartney introduces Mick Jagger and David Bowie who run out and bust a move. I never knew they actually did it live; especially with a Paul McCartney fronted band. Paul even leans over and adjusts Bowie's mike stand at one point. It looks very 80&#

I wonder if some guests nowadays are almost pretending to be intimidated; Jagger doesn't really mean anything to them, except for what they are told or what they hear. Often these pairings are set up by music biz insiders, so they would tell their protegees about the Jagger concept, and that he is history and it is becoming to show a little fear. I am thinking about Justin T, Christina A.

I never like when an artist puts out a double album , and then it is said that it would have been better as a condensed single album. But with Use Your Illusion I and II I feel it applies totally. They released one song twice (and it happened to be one of the worst ones IMO), put out utter crap (My World, Back off Bitch, Shotgun Blues), and extended some cuts for an extra 5 minutes when they woul

There is also a little William Dafoe in the mix. That is one ugly dude. And the implied moustache is even more ridiculous that Keith's.

I would say it's the other way around. One the rare Brian vocals he usually had a pretty deep raspy voice. Bill did falsettos on "Time is on my side" e.g.

Love the whole idea of the guitar team; as the eye of a band's sound. There are so many good ones, that delivered in different ways. At times the individual guitarrists aren't even that god, but together they produced. Fred Sonic Smith/Wayne Kramer - MC5 Michael Bruce/Glenn Buxton - former Alice Cooper Band Sterling Morrison/Lou Reed - Velvet Underground Sputnik Spooner/Roger Stee

Hehe, actually the shopkeeper kind of reminds me of those pics of crinkled Sam Cutler in the other thread. Has anyone else seen that June Shelley book? It's called something like "Even when it was bad, it was good". Great title.

I don't think I have seen a single episode of the series that was boring. Hey - I even got into the Phil Collins segment.. Best one might have been "Never mind the Bollocks". I especially like the fact they sit there with multitrack master and boost, mute certain tracks to illustrate a point.

I could never understand why Mick Taylor doesn't rule up high on those Best Guitar Charts. Seriously - why is this? He was very high profile. The music listening public is not stupid. Everyone knows who plays lead guitar on the Golden Era Stonesalbums. His sense of melody is incredible; I would rate him as high as Duane on slide. There might be louder or flashier slide players, but few bett

I don't know about the band being redhot, but the show is redhot. And Ronnie is out there being a Rolling Stone. Playing with the rockers, stoking the fires, supporting on down and dirty level. He's gotten a lot of bad press lately; rumors flying by folks who don't know the players. I thoight he looked and sounded pretty good in this vid.

Thank you Kait. When I saw that clip, I kept rummaging on youtube and saw several 80's video parts. Strange how young they look in the 80's, that are considered a latter period of their history. Even 89, no even 94! they look young now. There was footage in Stockholm 94 backstage, and Ronnie looks like a buccaneer.

I have also seen Ronnie play Ooh Lala in standard tuning. The whole song is D to Em7. The D note in the Em7 chord you can add on the B string, or have it droning through in a low string. The real "magic ingredient" is the Capo. But I agree that on the record it is in Open D/E.

I came across a clip on youtube I had never seen; Jagger is somewhere in So. America, or West Indies. He goes into a small bodega, and needs to make a phonecall but is broke. Tries to explain to the storeowners who he is. "Micky Jagiero, famous rockstar". He finds a copy of "Thru the Past" and shows them the cover. Then puts it on and dances and mimes to JJF and BS. A little k

In all those threads, were the guitars that Keith uses with Winos addressed? Or is it strictly guitars in Stones? I thought I had found some rare shots of guitars not covered yet, but realized one was from a Wino gig; then noticed that I could not find any Wino guitars in the index of threads.

We, the undersigned do believe that it is in the best interest of the legacy of the Rolling Stones to re-master the legendary live album, "Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out."
