CD Burning Program-Recommendations?

Just got a new computer which only came with Windows Media Player for audio CD burning. This program appears to be useless for live concert burning as it offers me no way to eliminate the two second gaps between tracks. I used Nero 8 for the 30 day trial period and it work fine but they want $70 to keep it. Can someone please recommend a decent free or very low cost software I can download. Thanks Much!
