More Soundboards from 1969

Great upload, midnrambler. Worth downloading for this version of Carol alone because the mix is much better than the released one on the album IMO.

ROLLING STONES
1970s Promo Film Soundtracks

Back in the seventies they did not simply use the album versions for the video clips like today but Mick was singing live to a prerecorded backing track. So these versions differ all from the official album versions.

Note 1: The 3 other promo films from Black And Blue (Hot Stuff, Hey Negrita, Crazy Mama) are full playback using the album versions
Note 2: "Where The Boys Go" is the longer promo film version (4:04 instead of 3:29 on Emotional Rescue)

Source: Tracks 1-8 Silver CD "Get A Line On You" (BB 001), Tracks 8-11 from DVDs, don't ask me which one exactly...

All tracks are complete!

01 Angie I
02 Angie II
03 Dancing With Mr D
04 Silver Train
05 It's Only Rock'n Roll
06 Ain't Too Proud To Beg
07 Till The Next Goodbye
08 Fool To Cry
09 Miss You
10 Far Away Eyes
11 Respectable

ROLLING STONES
Toronto, El Mocambo Tavern, March 4+5, 1977
All available tracks in most likely concert order & no repeated tracks.

Setlists according to www.nzentgraf.de:

1977-03-04: Toronto, Canada, El Mocambo Tavern
(this setlist is probably not complete):

01 Route 66
02 Honky Tonk Women
03 Hand Of Fate
04 Fool To Cry
05 Crazy Mama
06 Crackin' Up
07 Around And Around
08 Melody
09 Star Star
10 Worried About You
11 Let's Spend The Night Together
12 Band introduction
13 Little Red Rooster
14 Luxury
15 Brown Sugar
16 Jumping Jack Flash

1977-03-05: Toronto, Canada, El Mocambo Tavern:

01 Honky Tonk Women
02 All Down The Line
03 Hand Of Fate
04 Route 66
05 Fool To Cry
06 Crazy Mama
07 Mannish Boy
08 Crackin' Up
09 Dance Little Sister
10 Around And Around
11 Tumbling Dice
12 Happy
13 Hot Stuff
14 Star Star
15 Worried About You
16 Let's Spend The Night Together
17 Worried Life Blues
18 It's Only Rock'n Roll
19 Rip This Joint
20 Band introduction
21 Little Red Rooster
22 Luxury
23 Brown Sugar
24 Jumping Jack Flash

Now, when we remove all tracks that are not available, we get these partial setlists of available tracks. However nobody knows which track comes from which show.

1977-03-04: Toronto, Canada, El Mocambo Tavern:

01 Route 66
02 Hand Of Fate
03 Crackin' Up
04 Around And Around
05 Worried About You
06 Let's Spend The Night Together
07 Band introduction
08 Little Red Rooster

1977-03-05: Toronto, Canada, El Mocambo Tavern:

01 Hand Of Fate
02 Route 66
03 Mannish Boy
04 Crackin' Up
05 Dance Little Sister
06 Around And Around
07 Worried About You
08 Let's Spend The Night Together
09 Band introduction
10 Little Red Rooster

Now we see that the lists look quite similar and the list from the 2nd day contains all the available tracks. So I thought putting all the tracks together in this order would make a good El Mocambo disc without repeating tracks two or even three times.

So here is what I did:

01 Hand Of Fate -> VGP 005
02 Route 66 -> VGP 005 (acetate track) + VGP 368 (matrix)
03 Mannish Boy -> LYL resp. VGP-005
04 Crackin' Up -> VGP 368
05 Dance Little Sister -> VGP 005
06 Around And Around -> LYL
07 Worried About You -> VGP 005
08 Let's Spend The Night Together -> VGP-368
09 Band introduction -> LYL resp. VGP-005
10 Little Red Rooster -> VGP 005 + VGP 368 (matrix)

Sources:

- VGP-005 (2nd edition) El Mocambo 77
- VGP-368 A Stone In My Shoe (4 bonus tracks on CD2)

Mastered with Adobe Audition 3

Of course the sound quality varies from very good mono to excellent stereo, but that's how it is!

Does anyone have the vinyl album of "El Mocambo 77" and could upload a rip of it? The quality is better than VGP-005 and I could "rework" my torrent with the better tracks.

right you are: 2 sets of 4 cdr's.
guess this has nothing to do with record mirror nor bedford records (us or uk),
but is a pretty comprehensive compilation with good dates.

Mick Taylor and Band
Great American Music Hall
San Francisco, Ca
2000-01-28
HD>DVDShrink>Nero7>HC

I recv'd a DVD a few years ago now
from an underground BT Site, most of the
Material on the DVD had Jorma on it so it
can't be shared on many Sites, but what a nice
surprise to find 2 Songs from Mick Taylor included
on the DVD, "Blues in the Morning" & "Red House"

You can tell this is sourced from a VCR Tape,
other than that I can't give anymore lineage,
as that site has LONG ago disappeared.

Mick Taylor had a very BUSY Year in 2000, He Toured
both the East & West Coasts of the United States, did
Gigs in Europe, played on CD's released by Bill Wymann's
Rythym Kings & Carla Olson, plus sat in with David Letterman's
Late Night House Band in April playing Stones songs!

Enjoy,

-Gripweed

Get the real 11/28/69 2nd recording here:

The Rolling Stones
Madison Square Garden, New York City, NY
November 28th 1969 - 2nd show

Good - Very Good Audience

This is a reseed of a torrent shared by Watchit, in 2007 or 2008
It's a Good-Very Good audience recording, and an upgrade (also more complete), if comparing to the IMP CD release.
This torrent is most probably what DAC used for disc 2 of their forthcoming 3CD bootleg. It's better to get the original recording, without any DAC-EQ - so it's about time for a reseed. (it's also a request)

I made some artwork - which came out rather nice
Apart from the artwork, and a changed MD5-file; NO changes have been made to any files.

All thanks goes to Watchit...!

----------------------------------------------------------------
ORIGINAL INFO-FILE:
----------------------------------------------------------------

This is a decent audience recording of the last of the Rolling Stones' shows at Madison Square Garden in New York City, all of which were recorded for "Get Yer Ya-Yas Out." "Midnight Rambler" is identical to "Ya-Yas" and "Satisfaction" has some similarities to "Gimme Shelter;" see what else you can match to official releases. This show is on few bootlegs and this is by far the best I've ever heard it. It comes from a very low generation tape, possibly the master. Presented in FLAC 1.2.1.

Rolling Stones, NYC 11/28/69 2nd show:
01. Jumping Jack Flash
02. Carol
03. Sympathy for the Devil
04. Stray Cat Blues
05. Love in Vain
06. Prodigal Son
07. You Gotta Move
08. Under My Thumb
09. Midnight Rambler

The Rolling Stones

* Houston, Astrodome, October 28, 1981
** Largo, Capital Center, December 9, 1981

Excellent stereo soundboard

The Houston part is taken from JumpingJack1's upload here on Dime (Thanks!). I cleaned it up as good as I could with Adobe Audition. It was not a one click restauration, but I did several things with the several tracks (and not the same with all), can't tell you anymore what exactly I did with which track, but it was mainly restoring the clipped audio and adjusting the volume. No equalizing! Now it sounds quite good I think. The left channel sounds generally quite muddy and there's almost no audience noise, while the right channel is much clearer and all the audience noise is on the right side. The beginning (until in the middle of When The Whip Comes Down) is still a bit distorted but I think it can't be done better.

The Largo part is taken from Wolfgang's Vault plus She's So Cold from the KBFH broadcasts.

I thought both half shows make together an almost complete "show" (missing only Tumbling Dice) in excellent stereo quality. So I combined these two recordings.

No artwork.

Disc 1:

1. Intro "Take The A Train"*
2. Under My Thumb*
3. When The Whip Comes Down*
4. Let's Spend The Night Together*
5. Shattered*
6. Neighbours*
7. Black Limousine*
8. Just My Imagination*
9. Twenty Flight Rock*
10. Let Me Go*
11. Time Is On My Side*
12. Beast Of Burden*
13. Waiting On A Friend*

Disc 2

01. Let It Bleed*
02. You Can't Always Get What You Want*
03. Band Introduction*
04. Little T & A*
05. She's So Cold**
06. Hang Fire**
07. Miss You**
08. Honky Tonk Women**
09. Brown Sugar**
10. Start Me Up**
11. Jumpin' Jack Flash**
12. Satisfaction**

The Rolling Stones
Gothenburg, Scandinavium 10-06-73
audience recording

Lineage:

Tape - ? transfer to CDR - Trade - EAC (wave-flac) - Traders little helper - maketorrent - Hungercity

I got this one in a trade some days ago. It was titled as a rare alternate audience recording. As I don' t have the one
that is circulating I can' t say anything to it. Not sure if this is the 1st or 2nd show of that day. Maybe someone with
the known Gothenburg source can compare both.
Any comments are welcome!
No artwork available.

Tracklist:

1. Brown sugar
2. Gimme shelter
3. Happy
4. Tumbling dice
5. Star Star
6. DooDooDooDooDoo
7. Angie
8. You can' t always get what you want
9. Midnight rambler
10. Honky tonk women
11. All down the line
12. Rip this joint
13. Jumping Jack flash
14. Street fighting man

Enjoy!!

From comments :
#1 "I will be delighted if this is better quality sound than the EXCD-013 version which commonly circulates"
#2 "This is the same setlist that the silver CD in circulation. Absolutly an upgrade
Most probably from the same source but much lower generation tape".

Great torrent indeed thumbs up

Mick played all songs on his Les Paul. For the encore '' No Expectations'' he switched over to his white strat

Sound was perfect as usual in the Blues Garage

Enjoy!

It would appear that you have been "suspended" probably because your ratio is too low. Check out my posts on page 4 of this thread.
