Again many thanks for this, out of interest should there not be a VTS_01_0.BUP file present in the file structure as in your example for another DVD. Nero says there should be when you go to burn, I'm just doing it now, seems to play fine :-)

I very much appreciate the lossless DVD, so again thanks.

Hallo.

What's the difference between the "definitive master edition" and that one?

Could anybody help me?

Thanks

I don't know this one here but the Top Of The Line/4Reel dual layer DVD is really the definitive master edition. Great picture and stereo sound quality. And no black frames around the picture.

Anybody know how to make a backup file (bup) for VTS_01_0.bup? I get an error message when trying to burn that it is missing this file.

Thanks!

Somewhere posted here is ... make a copy of the .bup file, then rename it as the .ifo, because they are duplicates, then try again and see whether Nero comes up with the same message, good luck.

Thanks for the tip. However, when I try to copy the ifo file, I am not able to rename it as a bup file. Is there something I'm missing or do I not have the right setup on my computer to save as a bup file?

Thanks in advance.

just a thought, not your computer, see whether it is read only in properties, if it is uncheck the box.

another way is to use a free program called ifoedit which can create the ifo and bup files from the vob files you have, be careful you do not delete files so keep a copy of them somewhere else just in case.

you can still burn in nero as I did and click ok about the missing file, then view the dvd to see if everything works ok.

Hi,

I'm getting an error message when I try to run DVD Shrink with the files in Dics 1:
"Invalid Data in VTS_1.0_VOB." Has anyone encountered this - what is the fix?

Thanks.

Jim

The message I am getting when I try to open the files in disc one is "Invalid Data in VTS_1_0.VOB". Any fix available?

Thanks.
