Not often you get boots sold in official shops. My only experience was with buying Dylan's Great White Wonder & the Stones Oakland '69 in Sam the Record Man in Toronto. We're going back a bit here....

In the early 90s I also bought bootlegs in official shops. The reason was that a few countries; Italy and Germany comes to mind....had gaps in their copyright-laws, so bootlegs were allowed there. And, some shops bought their CDs from these countries, and therefor sold bootlegs without really knowing about it.
This is the reason why they had to remove the intro of "2000 Light Years From Home" from 'Atlantic City 89' - as it was sampled from an official record...and interferred with the laws they had at that time.

Those were the times ... I bought "Atlantic City 89", "Hampton 81", "Philadelphia Special" and many, many more in some big record stores over here in Germany. Then after the phonomenal success of "Atlantic City" (it sold more than 100.000 copies alone, which created quite some media coverage), they changed the laws and closed the door forever.
