Here’s a little something I thought I’d share with y’all: Los Lobos doing a mostly acoustic show in Chico, California, on February 14, 2007. Their current tour is billed as "An acoustic evening with Los Lobos". It’s unfortunate that they're not as popular as they deserve to be. They are one of the most underrated and best bands I have ever heard, whether they’re doing rock’n’roll, Latino folk, or Los Lobos music. David Hidalgo, one of the guitarists in the band, played some dates backing Elvis Costello a few years ago when Costello was doing an American club tour. He cranked up that Telecaster (if I’m remembering correctly Hidalgo’s main guitar of the night) and got Costello jammin’ on the songs. Hidalgo also made an album many moons ago as part of a duo called Hound Dog. A very trippy, bluesy album and well worth seeking out. But, I’m digressing here. If you haven’t heard Los Lobos most recent studio album, check it out. It’s a fine piece of music. Regarding this show, it is very well, if not excellently recorded, and the band plays wonderfully. They're not MP3s. I do wav files so they can be played by most computers or most CD and or some MP3 players without need of a special program.(For everyone's notice: Not all MP3 players do wav files and SONY MP3 players change the file format). I uploaded only the show as I figured this was what most people would end up listening to. Unless a file comes to me as an MP3, I'll post it as a wav file for everyone's convenience. Same thing with SHN files - not everyone is going to want to convert them or have a program to convert them. Hope this clears things up for folks regarding your comment about conversion. Hope everyone who grabs it likes the show.
