nzentgraf lists only two versions with vocals, one of them being the early mix and the other the Beggars version.

the mono version ?

It's in stereo, sounds slightly different, but the same full performance for sure.

nzentgraf wont know everything.

EDIT: It sounds like the early CD version with the slighlty off pitch.

That's bullshit! Six or seven full (!) (no rehearsal!) takes of Jig-Saw Puzzle do exist; all on Satanic Box 2. If Hoffmann or Nico would have done their jobs as good as usual, we would have gotten JSP I-VIII or so in the Recording index. But all demos are instrumentals.

yikes, don't go blaming Nico! i expressed it badly:
Nico mentions 14 instrumental demos of Jigsaw Puzzle in 1968; i was looking at 68, not 67, because the thing i uploaded is from 68.

he also lists two versions with vocals, which is what i focussed on because the version i uploaded has vocals.
he says one of the two with-vocal versions is an early mix of the other. an early mix as in "the same take but mixed differently",
not "an earlier take".

and if you have something Nico doesn't it is always a very cool thing to let him know.
his site is a brilliant resource and filling in the little gaps just makes it better for everyone.

I think it must be a subtle "same take but mixed differently" as the released version then.
