I was reading Bill Wymans book on the stones the other day and there is a list in it listing all the songs the Stones attempted in the 1986 Dirty Work Rehearsals/Sessions, one of which was a cover of Diana Ross's "Stop!In The Name Of Love". Never come across a boot with this on, anyone know if a recording exists? Kinda thought it would be interesting to hear how they attempted it!

Never heard it. I have both Alternate Dirty Work and Crushed Pearl and it's not on either of those.

Which of Wyman's books mentions this, please?

I just looked it up in Bill's 'Rolling With The Stones' book in which he lists the songs they played at the Paris sessions in June 1985 - many of which haven't turned up on bootleg - just goes to show that that the unofficial stuff escaped to bootleg is probably a small percentage of the recordings languishing in the vaults.

BTW my note says "jan 1985", but there might have been some
confusion thru all the passing of the file.
Or "jan" can mean just about anything.
