Please allow me to introduce myself...
Has anyone already talked about the songs by Mick, Keith, Bill etc. first released by others? As far as I know they are bested only by Lennon-McCartney and Ray Davies as widely-interpreted Sixties British rock songwriters.
I have some on mp3 and can share with anyone interested, e.g. Sure The One You Need (first recorded by Ron Wood, then still a non-Stone), Blue Turns To Grey (sung by American vocal duo Dick & Dee Dee), Will You Be My Lover Tonight (first-ever Stones song to reach vinyl, sung by George Bean) and That Girl Belongs To Yesterday (recorded by Gene Pitney).
And I'm looking for a few I don't have, such as It Should Be You (B-side of the aforementioned George Bean single), You Must Be The One by British DJ Tommy Vance and Sleepy City by The Mighty Avengers.
