We need a bit more info before we can help you. What format are the files? flac, shn or wavepak? I'm assuming that the files are in fact compressed.

Can you play the files as is, without converting them first? Winamp (with the appropriate plug-ins) will do flac & shn, foobar will do wavepak.

What are you using to convert the files & how are you trying to do this? The more specific info you can give us the easier we can help.

I've been lucky in that everything I tried worked first time so I've had no hassles at all, but I suspect that was just a fluke.

I only download torrents that contains iso, vob, rar, zip, mpg, avi, wmv or mp3 files. I see through it before downloading.

Hi Tekumseh,

how do you bring an iso-file to a dvd?

It all depends on what you're running: windows, macOS, or linux.
And then it depends on what you're downloading: video or audio.
And then it depends on what format the audio or video is in.
And then it depends whether your computer has a DVD burner, or a CD burner, or whether you just want to get it on to your mp3 player.
With all these questions answered you can use Google to find answers to your questions.

I'm running into the same problem as rmacdad. It's simple enough to download the Bit Torrent files but I'm getting a lot of them in SHN and FLAC format. I prefer dealing with mp3 format as it's so simple. I use Dell Jukebox to play them and burning them to audio CD format is a snap. I can use Windows Media Player to listen to mp4's but I haven't figured out how to burn them to audio CD.

But these SHN's and FLAC's confound me completely. Is it simple enough to deal with these or a major pain in the ass? Any comments or suggestions in this matter would be GREATLY appreciated.

They're just another format guys.

Get your shn>wav convertor here
[www.etree.org]

And your flac>wav convertor here
[flac.sourceforge.net]

Once you've got them as wavs they're all yours

OK. So you're saying I should convert the SHN's and FLAC's to WAV's?

Is a WAV an mp3? What's the relationship there?

Basically --> (more complicated that this, but to make it easy)

1) flac and shn are file compression programs to save disk space
2) you need to "unzip" the flac or shn files to decompress the file
(see programs previously listed above by vox12string)
3) the decompressed file will have the extension *.wav
4) wav files can be burned directly onto cdr-s
5) wav files can be converted in mp3 files
ABC Amber Audio Converter is a nice, simple, "free", wav to mp3
(64 to 320 kbps ability)

ABC Converter is 30 day free trial, but still works after the 30 days expires

I use Nero Burning Rom.
- Open saved project.
- chose 'any file'
- chose your ISO file
- Burn

It's simple on a PC with Nero.
On Mac and PC's with Linux and so on, I don't know.

Hi Tekumseh,

it's really that simple! One does need to know the trick. Thank you for telling me. I'm a proud owner of Ladies and gentlemen now. On DVD with correct scene-selections. Got it with bittorrent.

Hey conchita, shake it up now

Yes, that's a great one.
I'm downloading Live In Rio 2006 now. I'm looking forward to watch that.
