I thought there were 2 versions, 1 that was the B-side and then a longer version.
I could be wrong

Looking through Nico's Complete works - he lists the track as recorded in Jamaica in Nov 72...
- Through The Lonely Nights (MJ/KR) -Nicky Hopkins on piano; single-version
no mention of any other studio version.

He also lists that it may have been performed during rehearsals for the 'Bridges To Babylon' tour

1997 - 22nd August - ca. 17th September: Toronto, Canada, Masonic Temple. Tour-
rehearsals, incl. (all songs unverified):
- Around And Around (Chuck Berry)
- Baby What You Want Me To Do (Jimmy Reed)
- Black Limousine (MJ/KR/RW)
- I’m A King Bee (James Moore)
- I’m Free (MJ/KR)
- Little By Little (Nanker Phelge/Phil Spector)
- Luxury (MJ/KR)
- Mixed Emotions (MJ/KR)
- Rock And A Hard Place (MJ/KR)
- Slave (MJ/KR)
- Sleep Tonight (MJ/KR)
- The Spider And The Fly (MJ/KR)
- Tell Me (MJ/KR)
- Through The Lonely Nights (MJ/KR)
- Too Tight (MJ/KR)
- You Gotta Move (Fred McDowell/Rev. Gary Davis)

Have any of these rehearsals found there way onto bootleg?

There's a Sister Morphine release called "Closer Than Close", but unfortunately it doesn't feature Through The Lonely Nights.
