I'd say the BtB versions are the most powerful one, guitar-wise.
The Superbowl version is also quite a good one.

Tammy Show 1965 and MSG 1969...

JR

I agree with JR.
1969 MSG on the GS soundtrack is by far the most "powerful" and driving and "macho" version of Satisfaction. The guitars are absolutley stellar.

If I could post it again, I would. I did post it a few weeks back. Check under the search tab under Satisfaction.

I still say the Knebworth 76 opener is my favorite.

MSG 1969

Best ever version imho

The version on Get Your Leeds Lungs Out, Leeds 1971, is my favourite, but the Gimme Shelter version is good, too.

I agree with MSG 1969 being the best one!
But I also get chills by Knebworth 76, the duet with Stevie Wonder 1972, Leeds 71, Philly 78, Phoenix 81 etc. etc.

Hyde Park 1969

I don't like the Hyde Park Concert 1969, because of all the noise they couldn't tune their guitars. Mick Taylor's guitar is so out of tune as it can be. It ruins the whole concert...

Best Satisfaction is the opening in the official Bridges To Babylon DVD/VHS.

And the version at SuperBowl this year.

Erik... I Love the Leeds version. Very Soul, I always thought it was in response to Otis' version. Knebworth is ggod too. I also happen to like the Hyde Park version. I love the Stones when they play ragged.

Me too. Even the Philadelphia 1978 version!

I may get flamed for this, but IMHO the most powerful version of Satisfaction is from Flashpoint...it announces that the Stones are back, and not to be triffled with!

That's what he asked. The 69 MSG version + the Stevie Wonder (1972) version

I really like the live version that they played on Sullivan in 1966. There's a color clip of this performance in the 25 X 5 documentary. It's rather tame when compared to the MSG & later versions, but it has this great nervous energy that I love. Plus the band looks great and even Brian still looked vibrant (in spite of the ever-present eye-baggage). Too bad Keith's guitar was too low in the mix.

Also -- That Superbowl version really kicks some ass.
