CD Burning question

Alright, I just got another boot. My question is how do I convert the wav files to mp3 files? I tried to burn wav files on Nero and something went wrong. So I want to convert them to mp3 format. How do I go about doing this? Any help at all would be appreciated! Thanks! smiling smiley

I use CDEX. It's very simple and works very well.

I use CDex too, and it's good - but the main question should be: what is wrong with your wave files or your Nero settings?

to burn audio-CD's the standard wave format is 16 bit 44000 Hz PCM, not 48000 Hz.
In Nero, Audio CD should be selected - not Data.

Avoid encoding to mp3 when you can.

open-g, in the Properties section on my Nero it says 44100 Hz. I'm assuming that there's no problem with that. And yes, I always hit the Audio part when it comes to burning music. I just rebooted my pc about 10 minutes ago so maybe that has something to do with it also.

Hmm - well what exactly went wrong while trying to burn?
Maybe just a bad blank

oh dear. I knocked a 100 Hz off the sample frequency. I blush in shame.
44100Hz of course

open-g, this morning I thought that I had burnt the music, rushed to my portable CD player to give it a listen and it said "Er". Then I looked at it and growled out a blood curdling "errrrrrr!!!!" Man, was I mad! lol I think my pc just needed a good rebooting especially after downloading a concert that took around 2 1/2 days to get! It's amazing what a reboot will do for your computer, as I have been finding out. smiling smiley
