my version is "It's a gas in Paris", the one you have put here to be downloaded.

I have compared the versions here to be downloaded with DAC-009: I can't hear a difference, sounds the same.

How would I know ?? I've never heard any of them before.

I've sampled CD 1 and the tracks sound very very good. Quite clear. I'm assuming that this is an AUD recording. The CD info reports, using Windows Media Player, that the CD name is " IT'S A GAS IN PARIS ".

You can download a track and sample for yourself.

When you say " it's your version " what do you exactly mean ???

It's a soundboard recording !
I have used the audio track from the DVD and completed it with the other tracks from a CD.
That's why some songs are better soundboard quality than on DAC version.
and that's why I call it "my version".
I named it "It's a gas in Paris".

Based on your comments, is it fair to say that your "version" is at least as good as Paris Aux Printemps or French Made ???

Yup, this is as good as Paris Aux Printemps. I've only got it as one long file @160bits, but playing the 2 side by side they're quite comparable & I can't say whether one is better than the other. Mines got glitches so this is a nice update thank you very much.

stonefan:

You mentioned that your "version" was sourced from DVD soundtrack and CD.

Do you recall:

(1) Which tracks were from which DVD ?

(2) Which tracks were from which specific CD ?

I'm curious to know just how close your "version" is to Paris Aux Printemps or French Made.

tracks honky tonk women, hand of fate, star star, you gotta move, you can't always get what you want, happy, it's only rock'n'roll, brown sugar, jumping jack flash, street fighting man, are from DVD 1 "Aux Abattoirs" (TMOQ )

the other tracks are from CD "Paris Aux Printemps"

I just would have appreciated that HoldOnToYourHat mentionned it was Rockpassion version ("It's A Gas In Paris") even if I am not a seller.

Thanks for the info. Essentially, 1/2 the content from the Paris Aux Printemps.

In all fairness to HOTYH, he probably got the music from someone else.

Stonefan:

Question:

Your artwork page on your site lists the Rattlesnake soundboard " SHINE A LIGHT " from 1999.

How good is it on a scale out of 10 ??

Soundboards from 1999 are rare and anything I've heard so far, Keith is missing.. Earlier IORR had " WHEN THE WHIP GOES DOWN " posted but you couldn't hear Keith at all. It was absolutely horrible !!

I have two AUD recordings from 1999 (Toronto & Sacramento) which are pretty good in their own right but they are definitely not at the level of a soundboard recording.

Yes on this one, Keith is a bit drowned in the mix. so I would put a 8/10.
but to me, it sounds better than an aud recording. It's a matter of taste anyway.

Sorry stonefan, I actually was sent this bootleg from a friend, but I did notice that on the artwork it says Rockpassion is the source. Anyways, this boot is very good quality, and he says all of your Stones stuff is top notch, so thank you for putting out this great music for us!

Enjoy one of the most famous shows from 1976!
