Ladies & Gentlemen The Rolling Stones - 2025 Multitrack Remaster
Posted by: RayHongus ()
Date: March 12, 2025 04:55

Hey guys so finally posting this project, Ladies and Gentlemen has always been my favorite album, but the sound is just so damn muddy, it really doesn't do the performances justice. However due to recent advancements in AI I was able to use the site Moises.ai to extract instrument stems from each song and remaster the sound files by panning, EQing, and re mixing. However, the source files are not the greatest quality (but still lossless) so the software couldn't perfectly separate everything. It had a real hard time differentiating Keiths rhythm and Mick Ts lead. So it's not like a perfect remaster by any means, but this is definitely the best versions of the recordings we'll have until the tech improves, or they actually release an official remaster. The files are mp3s but theyre in 320 bitrate so theyre basically indistinguishable from flacs.

Please let me know your thoughts, this was a real passion project and and I'm really happy to finally be able to share! Also if you guys want, I can upload the audacity files so you can re mix them yourselves too!

I think its been proven 320 bitrate mp3s are indistinguishable from flacs to the human ear as far as I'm aware

Please upload the Audacity files.

And possibly WAV or FLAC if that’s an option.

Thanks for the work.

I always thought during Dead Flowers that Mick Taylor was not high enough in the mix.

Hopefully this solves it! Unfortunately due to the faulty lead and rhythm guitar separation i chose to keep them muddy rather than have them very separated and have horrible guitar panning glitchy artifacts. BUT usually during a dedicated MT solo it works well so i boosted his track a few DB so hopefully his solo on Dead Flowers sounds good!

Must've been his own fault. On that particular tour he could have been as high as he wanted at all times...

We've expanded into the sound space, so could you please use Flac?
thank you.

Well, I can tell you like drums. I converted it to wav with audacity and burned a cdr. Hope that is ok. I still like You Can't Do That Baby better but it is a nice change. I will keep it.
Thanks. Its been a good stones week. Captain Acid's Passaic, your contribution, and I stumbled on the Acid Falo matrix of Some Girls Live in Texas in stonesvault. Three things to keep me happy. .

Oh yes I do indeed like drums! I actually have a near perfect replica of Charlie's set up he played on this 1972 tour, so i had to mix them high. That's understandable! You Can't Do That Baby might be the clearest version, but it doesn't have as much atmosphere imo. Also what's the Acid Falo matrix of Some Girls Live in Texas? I checked Stonesvault but couldn't find anything on it. Im very curious now, thanks.

Audacity is a free download. Just type audacity download into your browser. Some people on this board get worked up over posting items with mp3 sources and I would not want to upset them.

There's several sources on the internet that say it's almost impossible for the average person to hear the differences between 320kbps MP3 and lossless. To be honest I used to be stuck on the lossless idea as well. Here's one link as an example.

Thanks! Oh interesting, I've never heard this. Any idea as to what this is/how it was done? Sounds like the official release remixed with keith and charlies snare turned down
