POST: Mick TAYLOR with Mayall's BB - Springtime 1982 - Vol 12 - 1982.06.17 - WASHINGTON (1st show)
Mick Taylor
with Mayall’s Bluesbreakers
in springtime 1982
This is a series dedicated to Mick Taylor’s shows with John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers in May and June 1982 when they toured California and the US East Coast.
A big thank you to all the people who recorded these shows and who shared them and to my two accomplices nzb and Jaap (Stonesmuziekfan) who gave me the benefit of their versions of these shows and their advice and support ... and therefore without whom this project would not have been possible.
Line-up: MT (gtr; some keyb)/John Mayall (voc, keyb, harm, gtr)/John McVie (bass)/Colin Allen (dr)

CD 1
01 - tuning and band introduction
02 - Rock It In The Pocket
03 - Oh, Pretty Woman
04 - An Eye For An Eye (announced under its working title ‘Hard Times Again’)
05 - My Time After Awhile
06 - She Can Do It
07 - You Never Can Be Trusted – part 1
CD 2
01 - You Never Can Be Trusted – part 2
02 - Lookin' For Willie
03 - unidentified instrumental
04 - Checkin' Up On My Baby
05 - Howlin’ Moon
Here I used nzb’s partial recording (the last tracks are unfortunately missing).
It’s an audience recording so not the one used on the official release.
The recording quality changes from the second part of ‘You Never Can Be Trusted’, so I used this point this to separate both cd-rs.
For the first part (cd n°1) I declicked it, equilibrated the channels (+ 20% for the right channel) and slightly amplified the sound.
I deleted some diginoises: in ‘Rock It In The Pocket’ at 0’38, in ‘’Oh, Pretty Woman’ at 0’31 and 1’25, in ‘My Time After Awhile’ at 9’19 and in ‘Checkin’ Up On My Baby’ at 1’31 and 5’02.
For the second part (cd n°2) I equilibrated the channels (+20% for the left channel) and rephased the channels. This part of the recording had to be accelerated by +1,1%.
As usual all the infos are taken from The Mick Taylor Complete Works Database by Nico Zentgraf: [
