This is one of the finest amateur recordings from the San Diego Sports Arena I have ever heard and
had the pleasure of working with. Seriously folks, most recordings I have from the SD Sports Arena
suffer too much from bad arena acoustics resulting in an echoey sounding recording. That is still a
little bit evident in this recording, but, since the taper was in the second row when he recorded this,
it almost sounds like Mick Jagger is right there in front of you singing and ready to jump right out at
you ! I didn't use any EQ in the production of this recording-there really isn't any imbalance of
instruments coming from the stage-this is what I'd refer to as an; "in your face" audience type
recording. When The Rolling Stones go to the 'B' stage there is a boost in the sound level.
One thing I personally like about this show is the Stones are playing one of my very favorite songs;
"Midnight Rambler." Man, I love that song, and when I hear it I feel like cracking open a beer
and lighting up a big fattie and getting toasted. In fact, the taper when he was at this show, he lit one
joint after another, he just couldn't stop ! And that's how we came up with the title to this show ! lol !!
Not that we endorse using drugs or anything like that. I want to extend a big thank you to Eric for doing a
hardcore hydroponic herbal job on the artwork in which he took the concept of the title to the
show a little above and beyond !
This amateur recording of The Rolling Stones put out by Let it Rip Productions is intended for trading
or torrenting only and please do not exchange currency for this recording of this show.
Enjoy !
John
