Transferred, Channels Balanced and Tracked by George [kingrue Upload 395]

I compared 2 different Vinyl LP sets to my FM cassette.

The "Smilin Dork" release. I can clearly tell that the vinyl transfer sounds a hair flat.

Which caused it to run nearly 2 minutes longer. I find that the FM plays at a perfect pitch.

The other vinyl source called "Garden State 78" A Vinyl Gang Product (VGP-253)

I found had multiple dropouts in the Vinyl's left channel that isn't on the FM tape.

The only real advantage of the LP sources, is that they have less crowd cheer in the mix,

they sound more like actual Soundboard recordings.

where as my FM broadcast has more crowd cheer in the mix,

But the radio amplified the music so it also brought the music more upfront.

The radio broadcast is a totally different mix and listening experience.


Funny comment at the beginning of "Far Away Eyes", Mick Jagger says:

"Maybe we do a country song and New Jersey's a country ain't it".
