Going through my old master tapes, here is another oldie but goodie, I have transferred the master tape and adjusted the volume. I have also cut out some audience "banter" between songs that you don't want to hear.
I borrowed a "portable" tape deck from a friend and took it in complete with spare batteries and a sack full of tapes. I remember seeing a reel to reel with twin mic's on stands and a huge car sized battery. Security? it was manned by the Legalise Cannabis Campaign.

When they finished I rewound the tape a bit and pushed play to see how it had come out. Heads spun round as the volume was up high and a Canadian came over and we swopped details. He also got his friend to contact me who ran a record store. That was the start of an expensive relationship.

Mystery of the week... This tape is supposed to be new and transfered recently. But the tape and the files perfectly match the old HOt Lips boot from 1991 or so.
Anyone coming up with a plausible answer wins... my utmost respect! grinning smiley

This is from the Empress Valley box (EV-203-206) therefore there is a third tape that has severe speed problems (it runs too slow).

Master Audience recording

01. Sweet Little Rockín Roller
02. F.U.C. Her
03. Breathe On Me
04. I Can Feel The Fire
05. Letís Go Steady
06. Worried Life Blues
07. Honky Tonk Women
-----tape flip------
08. Come To Realise
09. Am I Grooving You

The recording is quite clear however there is tape speed problems on side two.
I would ask anyone who can remaster these problems to do so.
I have thought about not posting this but it is historic, and I haope someone can tidy it up. (If you can please let me know what software to use)."

Yeah he guested at that show.
It's too bad Phil Chen - who replaced Stanley Clarke on bass for this show - didn't play a few bars of "Da Ya Think..." between songs. grinning smiley

"Worried Life Blues" isn't bad either... (en vrai ça troue le cul!)

I also have Hundreds of audio cassettes in my attic - not sure what to do with them. You assume people are posting the best available to download and rip to CDR . I am now not so sure. I seem to remember having a great recording of Stones at Knewborth on an old C120 cassette tape, yes there was a slight tape hiss. But I don't think I have heard better.
